"YouTube" a thought raised in Dinner Party.
One fine day, three friends named Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, Jawed Karim met at dinner party where debate was ongoing that we are having problems in video sharing. At that time they thought that it would be great to have a video sharing site.
They have accumulated 1.15 core dollars and then started web site named YouTube.com, they started office at California, today this site is worlds 4th most viewed site.
At February 15, 2005 the domain of this web site has been booked, and first video of YouTube was file named "Me At Zoo", where company's owner Jawed Karim was visiting zoo.
Officially they've put website to the public at November,2005, and on October,2006 the giant Google purchased it at $1.65 billion.
The same named website named "utube.com", a pipe and tube corporation company was getting jammed because of the ambiguity of names.
Did you know this before?

There are quite a few articles out there that have discussed many points of views of the history of YouTube and how it all began and I think I might've seen an actual book about it? Not sure whether or not it's real though.
Also, there was a point where YouTube was called www.youtubeonline.com as it was conflicting another site with a similar name.
I didn't know about Youtube till 2006 and didn't start using it until late 07 and I didn' bother looking into it's history till this year!
