The Lakers just got finished winning the series against the Suns. Now a familiar opponent of the Lakers awaits. Earlier in the season critics of the Celtics were saying there too old and banged up now, there no longer a championship team, and so on. This years playoffs proved the doubters wrong and having Garnett in the playoffs this postseason (unlike last postseason) didn't hurt either. I think the Lakers got the upper-hand this time around unlike last time the Lakers faced the Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals when they lost the series. Another interesting note is the Lakers and Celtics have combined for 32 of the 63 total NBA Championships.(17 for the Celtics and 15 for the Lakers)

This will be a great payback for Lakers if they win again in this Finals. Kobe will try to win 2 consecutive championships. But I don't think Celtics will be easy to beat. Their big three is healthy especially Garnet which is really someone that can really stand his own in the post. This will be an exciting championship. I'll be rooting for Celtics here.

My heart is with the Lakers but my money is with the Celtics.
Celtics does have a tight defense, they have a good rotation,
combined both superstar veterans (garnett, ray allen, pierce, wallace and finley) and youngs (rondo and 2009 slam dunk champion robinson).
This is a very solid lineup

Only if Bynum is healthy then I can call it an interesting series.
Remember 2008 finals, he was a big missing piece.

This is a great series and execution will play a major role in its games for each of this team. We will not count out the Celtics where they have been in this situation before. The first 2 games is very crucial for the Boston Celtics. If they win just one game in Lakers' homecourt, I see the Celtics will have a big edge heading the games into their homecourt. Artest and Rondo will be the ex-factors of their respective teams.

It will be doomed to be historic game, and also it is the best time for Kobe to revenge for the last loss in 2008,which was a terrible memory to Lakers and Kobe.
However,it is proved that Celtics is an experienced team and their outstanding defence is a big challenge to Lakers. So I am looking forward to the Finals.

I would go for Celtics in 6. Kobe will win games for them. But the fab 4 will win it all.

This is it! 2008 Champs vs 2009 Champs. NBA's greatest rivalry of all time.

i like both the celtics and lakers but i think the lakers will pull through mainly because they have a better team in terms of defence and also the energy and high spirits of the lakers are up
