Are you comfortable working with a desktop or laptop?

I might be different from the majority of people here, I would rather work with a desktop rather than a laptop when I was at work, Or I would do something seriously important. It is not that I can't work with a laptop computer, but I would feel more comfortable with a desktop. For me, a laptop computer is more like a convenience for me, so I can travel to elsewhere besides my home, I can still access to the network, or I can still do my work. What do you think?

i agree with you King! i do prefer to to work in a desktop when i am at work. i just simply love my desktop at work. i have a notebook pc which i always carry wherever i go, but as far as work is related, i would prefer using my desktop at work rather than a laptop/notebook.

I honestly like desktops much better. I like the bigger keyboard, with the ten-key pad, and I like having an actual mouse instead of using ones on laptops. Yes, laptops do have the convenience in being portable going for them, but if I had my choice it would definitely be for the desktop. They're just more efficient.

I work on Desktop for 8 hours a day and coming back to home I am on laptop. Now a days I am totally on laptop because of being away from my office. I love to work on laptop instead of desktop. The mobility thing is very good with laptop. You can walk with the laptop in the resta and work there with the cup of cofee. Laptop for me.

Hi. Well, it depends on the situation. When I have to use a the computer outside, I would prefer a laptop. Laptops are very portable. So, whenever I need it to use a computer in a mall or in the car, I would prefer my laptop. Also, when I don't want to get up and turn the desktop on, I would feel more comfortable using my laptop. On the other hand, when I will have to use the computer at home or work, I would prefer a desktop computer. Yes, a laptop computer is just for convenience, but a desktop computer is still more comfortable to use. :)

I prefer to use a laptop at home so I can sit on the couch and put my feet up. However, at work I do feel more comfortable using a desktop computer. It is easier to use a mouse than your fingers all the time. It is also better for the posture. I feel like every time I use a laptop I have to look down. That can really strain a neck.

I am more comfortable working with desktop. I use mouse and separate key board while using a laptop. My speed is less on laptop.

I am more comfortable using the laptop as compared to the desktop. I have been using a laptop for 2 years already and have been accustomed to its features as well as its keyboard. So its kind of easy for me to use such as compared to the desktop. Moreover, its very handy.

Basically I like working with a desktop computer. A desktop computer is one of my oldest friends and it gives me pleasure sit before it and work.A laptop, where as, is more a matter of convenience so that I work anywhere any time without having to search for a desktop. Both have their specific utilities. In fairly similar conditions, I prefer desktop over a laptop.

Earlier when i got my first PC or desktop i got so attached to it!! then my brother got his first laptop....and it was very advanced compared to desktop....but still i always used to work on my desktop rather than my brothers laptop! But as my windows got corrupted and my brother had to go to US for futher studies, in which case he had to leave his laptop with us! then i started using his laptop....first i felt uncomfortable with it....but now i am so much used to it that i am in love with it and its features!! Laptop is also gud....but for starters it will be like joining a hostel or something....i mean u might feel lost.

It depends on where I am and what I'm doing. I have both a laptop and a desktop, and use my desktop mostly when I'm at home. Sometimes I use my laptop while in bed sick. I use my laptop when I'm traveling, or when I go out for lunch some place. It works either way for me because they're both fast and have internet, so no issues there. But I know I should be using my laptop more because it spends less electricity. I know, I know, I'm bad at the whole green living thing. I'm just too lazy to do it...

in the office or at home it doesn't really matter to me if i'm using a laptop or a desktop. definitely when traveling, a laptop or a notebook would be handy to bring along. even while waiting at airports or other places, work can get done.

Well main laptop advantage is the portability you can move it around (as long as you have battery charged)........but i preffer Desktops i dont know why ... maybe because i just got used to it....and easier to upgrade your parts and of course cheaper

I have both desktop and a laptop. When at home I prefer to use Desktop because i can sit at a place and work. Secondly if i am working on a CAD software or playing games it becomes lot more easier than to handle the control on laptop. Third, In desktop i can trouble shoot small hardware problems, cleaning of my desktop CPU, adding or removing hardware, i can do very easily as i know it. But this is not the same with laptop as it is much compact and hence complex. But I use laptop to while traveling, its portability and battery back-up. And since i use keyborad short-cuts, for normal operations i am equally comfortable with laptop and desktop. But for some work i still prefer desktop over laptop.

i am comfortable on both. But it depend on the state of work also. If there is a work of only typing and browsing. Laptop is a good option. But when there is a need of highend work and designing the work on desktop is far better. So this is dependent on the work also.

Laptop provides mobility to computing, but are less comfortable to use, particularly for longer period of time. I have found that working on laptop is more tiring then working on Desktop.

I love using both. I can use anything as long as it has a mouse. Mouse is just very important for me because it makes me move the cursor easily. The only problem I experience with laptop is that it easily loses battery that I have to recharge it from time to time which would disrupt what I am doing.
