Most people when confronted whether they have a drinking problem , come up with the explaination that they are social drinkers. Now what exactly does that mean? sitting with a couple of friends and hitting thye bottle or keep a check on what and how much you are drinking? where does one draw the line?
As far as I am concerned , a drink or two a day is perfectly acceptable but when I decide to have a party , I do it within the confines of my home.I wouldnt want to break rules and laws about driving and make a nuisance of myself.
I would be glad to have some views on this subject as to what exactly is the accepted limit for social drinking ?

Hi Sumant, I would like to think that social drinking refers to drinking within limits and being able to socialise as well. When we have a gathering at home and we offer a drink or two to our guests before serving dinner it would perhaps be called as social drinking. I guess each person has his/her own limits and one has to udge this by ones own standards..

Hi kiran, you are right. That is the civilized way of doing it. But where to draw the line is the problem. Some think nothing of 2 or even 3 drinks, whereas for some 2 drinks are too many. So, as you say we have to limit ourselves depending on our capacity - have a lovely day :))
