Its a lazy Sunday afternoon here and the thought just occurred to me. I was around 7 or probably 8 and I took part in a school competition. It was a patriotic song on which I had to make a couple of moves.
My teacher told me "do whatever you want to do in life, don't ever try to be a dancer."Frankly, I never enjoyed dancing, if the saying goes as you got two left feet, probably for me, I got no feet at all.
Am I unusual?
What about you? Are you a good dancer? Do you enjoy dancing, or for that matter do you watch people dance? Write anything and everything you feel about this topic.

hello dear bhai,
I can still remember when i was still in grade school.
I am one of the best dancer in a dance coup.
Proud to say,i am one of the star dancer in every celebration or program event at school.
And even in our subdivision, whenever there is a party or occasion,i am always present when it comes to dancing.
During my highschool days,i am one of the cheerleaders of the campus.
But when i started to grow more matured,i feel ashamed and doesn't like to participate with any dancing event.
Until now,i still love dancing, but only infront of my mirror,or inside home

Awww. thats such an honest and cute answer dear Didi. You know, you just reminded me of a little girl in our neighborhood. I have seen her as young as 1 day old. She grew up in front of me. She always had been a live wire around the entire compound.
She would so zealously participate in our Republic day function and whenever she carries some trophies back from School we know that Aman has again won a prize for her dance.
She is getting a bit shyer now but still she is the cute gem we all know.
Its so wonderful to know that people do enjoy dancing, something which I can't no matter even if I try!
Stay blessed, Didi

My son has the best and softest body for me when it comes to dancing,he looks like a worm without any bones when he start to shake his body or do the break dancethat makes every girls swoon when he dances.

I dance because it's a way of expressing my feelings. I'm a pretty good dancer and I also dance with a crew. Yes we're a streetdance crew. The crew is quite new so at the moment we don't have any video's posted on youtube or stuff like that. However we danced on some events that took place in our city.

Hi Moumita,
It is really good to know that you love to dance and you are good at it! Well, I can only say that being a little overweight doesn't matter as long as there is something which you truly enjoy doing. And, then as you said people do acknowledge that you are great at it, so ENJOY!
Welcome to mylot, dear friend!

hi bodhisatya lets just say I never was talented as a dancer and now with a heavy brace on my left leg I wou ld look gross for sure since I am also overweight. no I love to watch people dance andto watch that series of Dancers on our telvision that every one loves as much as I do. cannot think of its name but its still going strong here in the US.So while I really cannot dance I can enjoy watching others dance. I really do like to watch good dancers.

Hi Hatley,
Probably we both enjoy the good things performed by others, hehehehe...
Well, if your brace doesn't hurt that much then probably you could shake a leg once in a while with me, what say?

I am not that talented at all when it comes to things like dancing, singing or playing instruments.
But I enjoy it when I watch people performing, who is really good at singing and dancing. I really appreciate them.I didn't tried to dance ever in a competition. THats would be terrible if something happens. But certainly I do dance with other known or family members, when my cousins or well acquaintances get married.I like it,then.

Surely marriages and functions like that provoke even the shyest person to step onto his/ her dancing shoes. But even a happy occassion like that can't really make me dance for my awkwardness. Good for you and it really makes me so happy that you enjoy dancing while you are with your closed ones!
Cheers,
Bodhi

Wow Esjosh! You seem to be such a sport. I guess it requires tremendous self confidence to think that nobody is watching. I bet those people aren't lying, you must be a very good dancer!

Dancing shouldn't be exclusive to people who can move gracefully. I'm not really a good dancer but I found out that it's a very good way to exercise and release stress. If you're afraid of getting criticized with the way that you dance, try dancing alone. Play your favorite beat and dance away!

Hello Cannarypepper,
Welcome to Mylot, Well, if it was of somebody's criticism then I wouldn't have paid heed to that. But frankly it doesn't come to me. I feel so awkward and clumsy moving my body.
I prefer to go to the gym to exercise my muscles and to release stress. I feel very happy for those who can dance beautifully. Its really a talent.
Thanks for your response,
Bodhi

No!I am not a dancer too and it is not a sin or crime. Each and everybody has some particular talent and we need not worry about what we don't have or envy what others have.just do what comes easily for us,is my motto.

Wooow that a bit rude.....every one has their own talent its just that we keep on swaying over the other professions some time as we get bored of being a typical human being in our daily life.that doesnt mean that those who are prominent in dance can discourage others that badly.
Coming to me i'm not tooo good at dancing....what matters the most is if i'm enjoying it or not....as i'm well aware of my dancing skills i wouldnt dare to exhibit in public to avoid all sorts of humiliation.I'm a big fan of dancing shows which are being aired on Television....i enjoy watching them and its quiet encouraging as well.great day.
