What makes people evil?

I have a different way at looking at most things, but the way I see it is that we all have evil in us and good in us, it's our choices that separate us. We have all been tempted to do or say something evil or bad and that is the evil inside us trying to come out. As long as we make good choices and make it a goal to do and say positive good things then we should be okay and the evil should not appear. As for the root of all evil I would just leave it as is, a figure of speach. Happy myloting :)

well that really depends on the person. sometimes it is the mixture of all that you have mentioned that makes people evil. it could be the environment or the people around them that makes them evil. if we envy or get jealous of what others have especially if they are doing well and we are not we tend to compete and try our best to equal what they got. i think what we all need to make the world that we live in a better place is to be happy what our neighbors have and be contented of what we have or else we will feel some bitterness within.

Money and wealth is not a root of evil.. its loving of money and wealth becomes the root of evil. Loving it and allowing it to control you is the root of evil. Wealth and Money are actually God gift to us, its how we used it. When a person is controlled by money, then he starts to become jealous and greedy.

THe thing that makes people bad is pressure. Pressure in any form is what makes people to adopt evil. Nobody is born bad. Its the circumstances that turn us into evil... If somebody had enough and doesnt have any pressure then there is no reason for him to turn bad. there is no reason for him to break the law.

I think it may very well be all the things that you have mentioned in your discussion. I really do think that people are born well intentioned into this world. But change over time because maybe of their surroundings or the people that they are spending time with. And then they will turn out all bad and evil. I think if you spend time with good people you will turn out good.

Evil? Man's action is considered his/her choices of what he/she thinks is right to do at that time.. Who decides what is good or evil? I mean, there's no such thing as "uniformity" globally. What might right for you is bad for them and vice versa. The idea of categorizing some actions as "evil" are those actions which "as most people would claim", out of the context of the norms.

HI, what make ppl evil? it is depend. sometime they grown up in a bad neighborhood, bad attitude family... the kids learn how to being bad with good ppl. sometime cuz they are so poor and push them to the place that never looking back. Hard to explain but this is how life is ... evil, good and honest

I've heard of the saying "the roots of all evils are money" and I believe it's true. Money is the root that lead to greed, power, jealousy and more. We're hungry for more power, greed for more money or jealous of others' fat bank account. It all begin with one. It's true that we need money but if we're out of control, we'll start to fight. There's no such thing as enough money and human is never satisfied.

Different reason for each person,makes them become evil or bad. But,there are really people who were born with animalistic behavior. Some people becomes bad due to the social treatment from their environment,that,they are forced to act and become bad. Some people become evil,becoz they really wanted to become one. Greediness is one of the main root for evil things. A greedy person never care and think good for other people. They only think about themselves. Being bad is a choice either,any bad person still had chance to repent if they really wanted too.

Hi. There may exist many reason for making people evil.Well,i think the failure is the main cause.If one can not full fill own desire he or she would not tolerate the same of others.

i'm a big fan of StarWars. according to the Jedi Code, evil comes from the Dark Side of the Force... and now back to reality... i really can't put my finger on the proverbial 'root of all evil'. but from the way that the world is today, money seems to be the main influencer in everything that happens. whether it's a political problem, technological disaster, environmental calamity, etc.. there always seems to be an element of money involved. so maybe the 'root' is the love for excessive money?

There are so many roots of evil in this world. I say it is money as the biggest factor for evil deeds and many other. But for me, for as long I have faith in God, I am hurting no one, money will not make me evil.

Consider for example: Money as root of all evil. Seriously, you don't have to be a genius to understand that the primary purpose of money is as a tool for exchange of goods. Money is NOT evil. Think about the following: What do you pay for services rendered? What do you pay for products purchased? What does an entrepreneur earn for selling goods? What payment do you get for working? The answer: MONEY Money makes business transactions possible. It makes earning a living possible -- which means it makes living possible. The evil attributed to money lies in the fact that people take advantage of it. Some people take money that doesn't belong to them either by force or deceit. It is perfectly okay to want more money, but to want money you did not earn is simply not right, and there lies the evil. The bottom line is, if you are rational, you won't take anything that doesn't belong to you. You will not steal. You will not cheat. Now, if you happen to possess a great deal of money/wealth and you've acquired it by rational means (honest work,good business) then there is no evil in that.
