We live sort of in the country but it's at a beach. The only store that is here is called the convience store but whenever we need something they never have it! It's beginning to become a real pain having to drive ten miles away from this store to get what we need all the time. This store has some groceries but we needed some cream for coffee and they didn't have any?? It's rediculous!
Do you have a store like this where you live?

I think it's time to move again to a real town. We were in a nice town yesterday with all the accomidations that we use to live near before. I just miss it. It's closer to hubby's work and not so much of a drive for me either. The only thing that concerns me is moving my son out of his school that he's in now. He's been doing so well there minus the ignorant kids in his class. He's pretty good when it comes to adjustment when I come to think about it though.

our stores..usually..have what we need, but the price is ridiculous.
they have a "fine, travel if you don't like it" attitude, because they know most people won't.

there are two stores nearby where we have a house in the province. it's just a few steps from the house though they are also not selling all the merchandise we need. at least, 2 kilometers is not a long drive if we really need to go to the market place.

Before we moved here, we lived at another beach about 10 minutes away. They had a grocery store there and mailed flyers to the community about their sales going on for the week. We wanted some things this one time and went there to find a couple of those items that were on sale and they said their stock didn't come in so they were out. It was so disappointing.

I know what you mean. We went to stay with a friend for a period of time and it was a joke every time we needed something. It cost us more in gas than the item. The worst part of all that was that my cell phone service was also interrupted because of no tower. We had to drive like 15 miles by the highway to get service. I was not happy.
I liked being secluded and away from people except when I needed something. It was unreal. I will stay in the city for now.

All we needed was some cream for coffee. Is that too much to ask for? I'd think not. It had groceries but not the good ones, and no fruit that is good, I went in their one time asking if they had fruit and they said they had some bananas but when I went to look they were all black. One of the daughters of the store owner said they were good for baking with. I wanted some fruit to put in my son's lunch not to bake with. I ended up buying some canned fruit cocktail which I wasn't happy with but my son loved it.
