I have real bad experience with this autction site. I been with them for long time and purchased lots of stuff. The issue is : each time I bought something from them either I had to spend some money to fix it or make it work, and at the end I end up spending more money than buying the same new item from a store. What is your input ? People think that they can make money with Ebay , probably only as a seller and not a buyer. Please share your experience with us.

Well, Ebay is alright as long as you know what you are doing. I have read that Ebay has scammers as well so you can not really hide from dishonest people. But, Ebay is nice if you want something cheap. We can not really whine about Ebay collecting some fees since it is actually helping you to sell your stuff online quick.

I had an experience also in ebay... it was not negative on my part. I purchase a laptop bag and i was advised to wait for 2 months depending. Three months later, there was no laptop bag arrived. I tried to contact the seller, and she said, It might have been lost! She refunded my payment and told me to pay back when the item arrived. But until now, no item arrived and it's over a six months now.

HI, Ebay? heheheh... sorry a little expression I have. well, my husband used to sell stuff on ebay. I can say, the looser is us not ebay... not you or seller... both of you. why I said that? cuz seller have to raise the price on item, charge for shipping and other fee to the customers. But the end of each month or every 3 months later... ebay will collect a whole lot fee from the seller back. For customer: you always end up paying more than you expected. I never buy stuff from ebay... I rather go to the store and pay the different. well, u know they allow u sell stuff, and before you post those online... they charge fee for words, photo and other stuff right there and then the end of each month... ebay still get more fee... lolz... I hate EBAY

I have never had a problem with any item I have purchased on Ebay. I've been buying things from members for several years, and every item was always received as described in the listing. I also make sure that I am not paying more for an item than the store sells it for, and in some cases, I've purchased things for 50%-75% off the store's prices. I do make it a point to check the seller's feedback and I only bid on auctions by sellers that have been on eBay for awhile... I guess I've been quite lucky.

The real earner on ebay seems to be ebay itself. Cause the person who sells has to bear shipping and other charges. And the person who buys from it ends up spending money on to make it work. Ebay looks to be a transparent site but we must make sure that what we are buying is in condition to make sure that we are not put to loss.

you can if you sell the right things, or buy something cheap that you can then resell at a profit or even earn cashback on your purchases via site like topcashback (if your in the UK anyway) or by posting links to them via ebays affiliate scheme.

Well I can not stand e-bay. Their fees are way over the top and it is hard to make money when they charge so much. Here in Australia I am with a site that only charges you when you actually sell an item and that is only about 6 - 10 cents. There are no other charges unless you own a store on their site and that only cost me $ 5.00 a month. So shop around for a better site to buy and sell.

I gotta say I love ebay. I sell and buy. If you pick the option for US ONLY you will only see products that ship from US. The seller has to disclose if they ship from a (drop ship) out of china or anywhere else. If you ever have a problem just open a case with ebay and you send the item back and receive all of your money.

I've never used eBay. I'm from Polish, so I buy on Allegro and I'm happy :).
