Hi Maximlimian, I firmly believe in nature's medicine. I love the aloe vera plant as it has such great healing properties for burns and for skin conditions. Tea tree is another fantastic addition to any medicine cabinet also. Well done you mom for healing his arm so quickly. Hugles. Ellie :D

I absolutely believe in herbs medicines. I used to get bruised knees a lot. I would sponge witch hazle on them at night and in the morning the bruising would be gone.
Almost everything I take for an ailment is natural. Some form of natural medicine. Herbs work great and so your cousin is wise in his ways.
One must be careful in mixing different herbal tinctures and herbs themselves however as some can be toxic in high doses as well as some parts of the plant which the medicine derives can be toxic. The healthy properties of herbs has been used for centuries. I prefer a homeopathic tincture to health wounds, stop a cough and more.

Indeed maxi, good point! You are so right.
I love to use herbal tinctures for medicinal purposes but also buying dried herbs bulk to mix my own teas. Still one must be careful there as well.

maxilimian,
Herbalism actually existed more than 5000 years ago, when scientist found the body "ice man" buried in the Swiss Alps for more than 5300 years and discovered medicinal herbs in his body which is believed to have been used to treat the parasites found in his intestines.
So, with such an extensive history the various collection, concoction and combination would have been consolidated for the various ailments and symptoms since the beginning of times. Since every thing and part is natural - it is believed to be a much friendlier and better alternative to chemical medicines.
Even, skin care and nutrition products are already going back to natural herbs and remedies so, I am another believer and supporter of herbalism.

Hi friend! Yes herbal medicines are very effective in most cases. I myself prefer herbal medicines because I've proven their benefits. In fact even with food supplements I always go for natural food supplements. In the Philippines there have been so many herbal food supplements and medicines and people have been getting aware of their healing effects already. It is even safer and has no bad side effects like synthetic medicines.

Yes, I believe in the power of herbal medicine as long as it is still coupled with proper medical attention via a licensed physician, especially for complex illnesses. Herbal medicine as topical medicine has already proven its worth, especially for its antibacterial properties but of course, proper usage must still be observed.

I'm a strong believer in herbal medicine! I think it is a much better choice than putting toxic chemicals into your body contained in most prescription painkillers, antidepressants, etc.
I am currently growing a few herbs like peppermint, chamomile, and lavender that I plan on drying and using for hebal tea.

I have never used an herbal medicine, but I am very curious to try it. From articles I have read the method seems to work.
