Lee Dewyze is the new American Idol

I thought for sure Crystal was going to win. She was awesome throughout the season and in my opinion deserved to win. But Lee did very well. He was the underdog and wound up winning America's hearts. I was happy to see him win. Anyone but Casey! I think he will make it big but I think Crystal will be more successful long-term.

I wish him all the luck but unless he becomes more aggressive in his style and improve on his personality, he might end up being one of the not so successful stories of American idol. His winning is a very big example of how the American people also go for the underdog. Everyone could see the big difference between him and Crystal Bowersox and if it were Crystal who won, there would be no doubt that she would make it big. However, even if she is just the runner up i think she will still become a big star, bigger than Lee. Both though were my chosen candidates to win with Crystal winning and lee as the runner up. But then we never can be sure of the outcome of contests where voting involves a lot of voters who would chose to vote for a candidate not only based on his/her talent but also on his/her looks. I believe a lot of girls voted for Lee. Bit I wish him all the best and i hope he will make it.
