Even you have Anti Virus in your computer you are still in danger of any Virus around in internet. Much better after you have your Antivirus install, then download MalwareBytes and Glary's Utilities these two (free) are my very own Protection against Viruses. But Pesonal use of mine are Comodo security ,AVG and Avira.

In my opinion the best anti virus program is Eset Smart Security. He is small, fast and has got huge virus base, also has got transparent interface and a lot useful options.

Well Norton and Mcafee are always market leader due to reliability and performance issues are concern otherwise if you are using any antivirus and update it regularly.. I don't think there are many chances that your system can be infected.

in my personal experience between the following AV i used i will rate them accordingly. Note that i only tried free to use Anti Virus: 1. Microsoft Essentials - lightweight, fast on scanning malwares, effective on detection and eliminating threats. 2. antivir - good antivirus (the update is quite slow) 3. Avast - updates easily but tend to mark legit softwares as virus 4. AVG - high detection low on cleaning or repairing threats.

In my opinion,all virus protection program have their advantages.I use many virus protection programs in the last years.But my computer also have virus,so i have to download many professional virus kill program.So the best protection virus program is the program that suit for your computer and your own using.
