Ideas, where do you get them?

So where do you get your ideas? I am looking for some ideas to design my impending new apartment. I was sourcing the internet, and realised that most of the interior designs looks the same. Any other suggestions where I should find more ideas?
In life, where do you get these kind of ideas when you need them? Please share if you please.

Well, as far as i know, one of my friend got his ideas from those interior design magazines, and his experience too.. hehe ^_^ HE will be looking around regardless in other's house or even shops in malls, just to get some idea..
Be more open to ideas around, because sometimes, shop or even shophouses have very cosy feel to it, and one will be able to adopt those ideas for home too.. hehe

well actually anything around us is the source of ideas.
even animals, or flowers....
try to mix something or divide something and mixing it up again... that is where I gain ideas too
ex : For interior, I Can Mix Up a Chair with a Vine.. So, I will make it like a chair made from vine..well it actually depend on how we start too...

if you want interior design for your apartment then you can search it here online, gather as many as you can then mixed them up or try to take off the things you dont want and add something from the one you saw in the other picture. thats also what i did, like if want something even shoes nor clothes, i tried to search online which combination is nice.
