What is one thing that you do like your mother but never realized?

If you grew up with your mother you probably learned a lot of things from her - mannerisms, ideals, beliefs, etc. What is one thing you recently realized that you do like your mother?

I used to think of her as someone conservative. But after these recent years I found out that she is not really a narrow minded person. Her abilities to catch up with current issues and events surprised me. It's probably because I've been so far from home to work, not being able to spend more time with my parent, but now I managed to spend more time with them. so these kind of things really opened my eyes.
