What would you do if your husband started a fire in your back yard?

My husband started a fire by burning an old mattress and box spring in our back yard. Somebody called the fire department, too. It was between the fence and the garage and it could have set either one on fire. He did not see the danger and still says it was not dangerous. Would you thinkhe is crazy? He is 75 years old. Maybe he is senile. What would you do?

Hi, getnbuy. I would tell him that burning a mattress is not safe. It is wise to not burn so close to a neighbor's fence. It could really cause a bad spread of fire. Yes, he is crazy if he knows that the fence and the garage is so close together. A fire can start and spread instantly..

for your husband maybe it not dangerous because he believes it is not, he is not crazy of course but there are some individuals who also thinks as your husband, your husband believed he is in control for doing that thing in your backyard, but what maybe he didn't come to think was what if the wind change it's direction or maybe the fire lit the nearby fence?
well in this kind of situation, if you cannot avoid him doing things like that, just better watch closely and do a necessary action.

Hi Getnbuy
I don't think your husband is crazy ,,,, careless maybe but not crazy he knew exactly what he was doing and he wanted to do it but he just under estimated the dangers of what he was doing.
What ever happened to just taking it to the local dump sight or setting it out in the front yard for bulk trash to get it why set it on fire?
Glad no one was hurt I would keep matches away from him from now on

Well he must got rid of these items on purpose which may mean he wants more space to live?...the best way is to talk about it he must have a reason for what he have done.
