I recently just got a 7 weeks old puppy yellow lab and German Shepard mix and it has diarrhea and i was wondering could it be they gave me different dog food from what it was eating or something else all shot are up to date.

I HAV FOUR PETS IN MY HOME & ONE OF THEM IS 3 WEEK OLD GERMAN SHEPHARD PUP. Dear u shouldgive him 3 parts cooked rice, one part boiled hamburger or chicken, or cottage cheese. I think u can substitute boiled potatoes for d rice. This is meant 4 short time settling a dog's digestive track.It is not d complete & balanced diet they need long term.I HAV SEEN AT WORK.
U should also consult a vet as soon as u can. give this diet 2 ur pet it will definitely show positive response. I m very fond of pets dats why i always consult d vet & wrote d information in my diary. BEST OF LUCK & HOPE UR PET WILL RECOVER SOON

Dear GeoBro, feels me good dat u care for dogs. Believe me i m not responsible 4 the separation of pup wid her mother. Actually one of my frnd came 4 studies in our location so he brought dat puppy wen he is unable to cope up wid pup he requested me 2 took d pup as earlier i hav three pets in my home & my frnd will go home during d vacation.
I m not joking coz i m very fond of pets since my childhood & u will b happy to knw dat today she is 3 week & 2 days old and healthy. i kept her name 'ROSEBUD'. The day i took rosebud in my hands u can't imagine she is jus 8 days old & i responded my frnd dat hw he could be so mean dat he separated a child from her mother. he told me dat wenevr he will go home he will took rosebud with him. At dat time i said ok took her wen u go home coz earlier i thought dat my 3 pets will not accept this new member in home. and sure first two days i hav faced some problems.....
I start feeding her milk wid bottle & now 4m 5 days she starts eating few pieces of bread & chapati's 4m bowls of my pets. Feeding a small pup is not a problem until u love & cares for pup. And now my mood has changed to give back to rosebud coz she is so sweet..cute& i easily get attached wid dogs. u r right dat people should not separate d pups or child wid their mother

Changing foods can be very traumatic to a puppy's digestion.
Give your puppy nothing but plain cottage cheese until the diarhea stops; usually just 1 - 2 days.
Then, feed him nothing but cooked rice and boiled skinless boneless chicken mixed together for 2 - 3 days.
After that, you can slowly put him back on what ever food you plan to keep him on and he should be fine unless this is a medical problem and not a digestion problem.

Any changee can do this to a puppy, like any baby. Most common is he has worms, but since he's so young you need to get him into the Vet's ASAP. Puppies become dehydrated very quickly. Good Luck.

Sometimes it takes time for a new pet to settle in and as it is a puppy it has to get used to alot of different things and this can cause it to have a stomache upset as it is anxious with all the different things around it aswell as being without the other people that it was used to.Give it time to settle in and it should be ok.

Did you already give your puppy his first immunization. You got should had it at 6 week, If not there is a big chance your dog got Parvo virus a number one puppy killer. If it last more than 2 day go as soon as possible to your vet or your dog will end up dieing.
