My sister and her family are missionaries in Ireland, which gave me the perfect opportunity to fly to Dublin, Ireland for two weeks. What can I say? The scenery is beautiful. The fields and grass are a deep green as Ireland gets so much rain. As you drive through the countryside, it is like going back in time. You will see houses with thatched roofs, castles, ancient ruins, fields with sheep and cows, windmills, and rock fences. My favorite aspect of Ireland was its history. I visited one castle, which had been used to film Braveheart, and it dated back to the vikings. I definitely recommend visiting Ireland. You will not be dissapointed.

I visited Ireland about 5 years aqo and you are so right about the beautiful scenery. We didn't actually go into Dublin but spent time touring around Killarney and all around the coast. There were some stunning views to be seen and the people were really welcoming. _Derek

While I was there, my brother-in-law and sister took me to Belfast, Northern Ireland. What a historical place. We took a tour of the city on a two level bus. We saw where the Titanic was built, where CS Lewis went to school, the gate and fence that separated the city, buildings that had bullet holes and visible signs of all the unrest that Belfast has had, and had dinner at the oldest tavern in Belfast.

I also went to Ireland a few years ago. While I didn't really travel around Ireland too much (I spent most of the time in Dublin) I absolutely loved it! There are so many things to see in Dublin alone. Trinity college and the library there is really impressive, and so is the Guinness brewery.
