I was reading a passage from the Holy Bible
"Whoever goes slandering reveals secrets but he who is trust worthy in spirit keeps a thing covered" Proverbs 11:13.
Would the above proverb be applicable or would you follow it even if the thing to be covered will cause hurt and pain to others?

Whatever it is, can you prove it? If you cannot prove it, then it isn't for you to tell. Despite the fact that people can get hurt, if you do not have proof to back up your story then the person most likely to be hurt by it, is you. So yes, I would go by that scripture.

If you can prove it and it isn't something that can be turned around on you, then no don't keep quiet. I think it boils down to how important it is, if it is something that has the ability to afect someone elses life, then maybe you should say something. If it is only a minor infraction and will only result in the person being upset for a day or two, then just keep it to yourself. In the end the guilty party will get caught no matter what you do.
