I am victim of an offense today by a friend which is hurting me since. I did lose my temper and called him back to word fight with him. Now I seem a bit light but I have developed hatred for that person....Have you ever met such a situation? Should I forgive that person?

Yes, I do but I try to control myself so I don't get carried away to get back. I have been in the same situation. What I did is try to talk things out and say my piece. I express my thoughts/feelings about the situation - that being offensive for me. Open communication so we can understand each other and so that the thing won't happen again. I don't want to harbor anger towards other and I hate the feeling of being offended. I try to be sensitive, so if I'm the one on the offensive side, I'd be the first to apologize. If the offensive things done to you is something you can forget and the person is someone forgivable and who would admit his fault and asks for forgiveness, then I say, you forgive him. But if he is someone who got the habit of offending others, forget about him. You can find more good friends...Ü

I am not so goodhearted to think what is right or wrong. If I am right I deserv to be angry and if I an wrong I say sorry.

Forgiving that person doesn't mean you have to be friends with him. It's okay to forgive. Just avoid him to avoid getting angry again. I always forgive but I don't forget easily -- especially if the person doesn't deserve my friendship / loyalty back. But yeah, I forgive.

Yes, in fact, i have been through this situation. Someone i don't know said horrible things about my family. I lost my temper and hit him repeatedly. Temper is something we don't have control over when it branches out from pride.

I think it happens to the best of us at one point or another. Most of the time, whenever that happens, it makes matters way worse.
