4 out of five stars. Review. Okay, so I have to admit I put off seeing this movie because well I thought it was going to be stupid. I am not a big fan of movies done in documentary style unless they are actually documentaries. So I put of seeing it for a while, but my brother kept saying I'd like so I checked it out. and I must say I was surprised. The action is just right to keep the plot moving without being too over the top, and the story of a human turning into an alien is full of enough anguish to keep you relating to the main character. Unfortunately the acting while good was not great. The lead characters are great its the supporting cast that needed work. Probably the most heart wrenching was a child telling his father he wanted to go home and the father replying "We can not go home not anymore" All in all thought it was worth the risk

Yeah, I have to agree with you for the stars! Definitely 4 of five, because with 5 stars I reward really, really good movies that become classics with the time. However District 9 has proven me wrong with my expectations for the next meaningless action movie. This one has many things that you can think over besides the action. It has represented the human nature very exactly - mankind is cruel and has no mercy even to itself although there are very few exceptions. I liked the way that the movie is created too - like documentary. So that's it, it's always nice to watch a movie that makes you think about life, human nature etc.

for me it's only 2 stars. i'm not really a good fan to the movie. the movie itself speaks for something that's beyond so much disturbance to alienation. i find it a racist movie.
