whenever one has a decision to make and one cannot decide which one to make then one should just toss a coin ... it's not that the coin decides which decision for you but.. when the coin is in the air your heart wishes for one of the choices to make... then you will see the difference!

Your discussion reminds me of a poem by Piet Hein. Do you know it? It is called "A psychological tip" and it describes the idea you mentioned: Whenever you're called on to make up your mind, and you're hampered by not having any, the best way to solve the dilemma, you'll find, is simply by spinning a penny. No — not so that chance shall decide the affair while you're passively standing there moping; but the moment the penny is up in the air, you suddenly know what you're hoping It is beautiful poem I think. Sometimes it is hard to make up my mind, because there are good and bad things about both options, but in the end I usually realize that deep inside I have known all along what I wanted. It was just difficult for me to see it, because I kept thinking about the good and bad things about both options, and that made me confused.

Oh I believe that is a last resort strategy. Personally, if you go that route then be content with the decision and no reservations later. My personal opinion though if a decision needs to be made and you cannot decide on which. Go with you gut instinct and be happy, as a coin toss can go either way anyways. Good point though.

I agree. It definitely is a last resort. You need to try to figure it out yourself. I am a very indecisive person too. I hate not being able to decide.

When we know how to drive a car then why should we tell someone to drive a car whom we don't know wether he knows to drive a car or not?? In the same way when decision is in our hands why should we leave it in the coin's hands?? Many people toss the coin and take the decision. Its just because of confidence. They think that they will take wrong decision, so they toss the coin to take decision. So every decision depends on our confidence...
