I think technology has gone too far on this one. I must admit I would be curious to see it action. Japan is so advanced in some of things they produce that they seem unimaginable sometimes.
Whats you r take on it?
Would you let a robot I-Fairy perform your wedding ceremony?

If robots have licensed to marry anyone, then why not? It's a bit unique and creative for a wedding theme. However, most of this robots may not be even serious in blessing two couples in love since they don't have a heart, if the marriage certification is valid after the wedding then it is fine. Or at least if this robot is assisted with a real priest or judge that will conduct the wedding, then probably, you will have a very happy and hi-tech wedding.

Oh yeah definitely draw backs in the whole ceremony bit. I wonder how much it costs for a robot to perform a marriage even with assistance? It is intriguing though.

I heard about this a while ago and I have to admit that I thought that it was quite interesting. That said, I don't know that I would ever go to the extent of having a robot perform my wedding, but then, I am a real traditionalist when it all comes down to it. If I worked in the robotic industry and I was very, very interested in robots then this might be something that I would do, but being the person that I am, it isn't something that I would be interested in.

Right , I though it was cool at first too. I would like to see it action but not at my wedding lol. I would probably get a good laugh if I did. I think money and would have better spent on other things that would help those in medical need or something.

newtalent I would think it would be better to use a robot for more
useful things like medical reasons instead of marrying someone. For
me no I really would not have liked that at all. I had a real live pastor who performed our marriage. I would not have liked a robot marrying us at all.

I am with you Ms Hatley,
I know Japan is far above in the industrial sector of coming up with some neat stuff but this is a weird as the real life talking child or baby. I guess it may be for some but not for me. Any way take care. I thought this was kind of interesting. What will they come up next?

I had to re-read the article and search it again to see how true this was ,lol. I mean it is kind of a different way to introduce technology in everyday life but would you want to do it this way if it was an option? I honestly cannot answer that right now. At first I was thinking no, but curiosity is getting to me.
