How can I stop hand cramps?

I work in retail and had to rekey locks for 2 hours straight.My hands started cramping when I was doing it and they haven't stopped.Does anyone know of a way to stop them?

My doctor says that when we have cramps it means that our body needs salt, we even have cramps in legs so it is the same for it too, we have a lack of salt in our body so we have to take them more in foods and medicines.

It is not always a lack of salt, it can also be potassium. Eat a banana a day to solve this one.

More than likely you have inflamation (or swelling) take some asprin and try not to use your hands for a while. They should be better by morning.
