I just seen this recently, and i ponder one of the yusuf (main protagonist/antagonist) demand, i wonder why the USA is always playing a part on every major conflict other nations has.. anyway the movie as a whole is good, unpredictable and a has a sad ending.

Hello gray, why the USA is always playing a part on every major conflict other nations has there's only one answer to that question, to Prevent a Greater WAR to Erupt. Remember that US didn't intervene with EU and UK when the Nazi's where on to them, only to realize that one of they're commercial boats were torpedoed by Nazi Submarine. allowing war in the middle east to go forth will cause a greater instability to the area. i realized it just now, before US didn't want getting involved, notjust after 9/11 but also war is just prevention of a greater conflict but it's sucking them dry (financially) leading it to depression

nice input, a lot of conspiracy theory is raking havoc in the net, this fact should also shed some clarifications. thank you for sharing.

Why the USA is always playing a part on every major conflict other nations has, you asked? If you referring to the movie, or any other movies that showed this, that is because it is true, not just in the movie. If you have time just browse a bit on world history, you'll find out that in reality the USA already has their hand on many countries on this earth. I'm not going to say anything whether it is good or bad, my opinion doesn't matter. Just remember that most movies are like reflections of reality, they aren't necessarily true, but what they represent are general image of what we see.

I have watched the movie and it is indeed very interesting as it questions one's ideals, principles, beliefs, morals and so on with the other aspects of human existence. It seems like every side just prefers what is best for everyone but, majority for themselves of course. The demands of Yusuf seems reasonable but, for the government to submit to such demands due to bomb threats doesn't really go well with them. If they would submit to one, others might follow, right? Of course, Yusuf might have already tried to raise the issue but, just got ignored which made him resort to extreme measures. This would have been a good movie to watch in our Philo subjects back in University.
