Yes, I definitely think we are being taxed too much. We are being taxed on such basic things like soda and candy. I guess soon we are going to be taxed for the air we breathe.

It is unfortunate, but I must say it is only going to get worse. See one of the things taxation does not realize is that the cost of living is on the rise and being able to live is on the low. For some reason they seem to think if we tax more we get more, how in the world can they get more when we have no more to give. It goes back to the old saying: You just can't squeeze blood out of a turnip. If they only realize our blood is drying out also.

Ridiculous, water is suppose to be free for crying out loud. I am telling you that it feels like we pay tax just to breath. :)

This is the worst it has ever been under any Presient of either party. This groups spends like there is no tomorrow. Trillions of dollars and what does the US have to show for it not a dang thing. People out of work and our country is in debt.

When is this trend going to end? When we say so. The folks that decide how to spend the money they get from the rest of us ARE OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS. DO NOT ELECT THEM AGAIN. LET THEM WORK FOR A LIVING, LIKE YOU AND I DO.

I guess they think that's going to help with the fat problem, but its not. If you have enough money to eat the kind of food it takes to get fat, then you can afford the extra taxes. People like me who are skinny or normal, are the ones who are going to suffer. They just made it more expensive for poor people to eat.

OOO this subject burns me! Everytime WA state does something like this makes me want to move! I was living in Seattle when they made us vote for Safeco field. 3 times they made us vote we said no. They built it anyway, and raised luxury taxes. Now this? Candy? Soda? Is it ever going to end? Oregon is looking a lot nicer these days......
