I usually don't buy books, i use the library at the college if at all i feel i need a book to refer to something or for studying. Mostly I have my laptop and my data card at hand, so i google anything i want to know. Even for my studies i refer online materials, e-books, wikipedia, encyclopedia and other sources.
For programming i really find forums helpful in learning and widening my understanding. But most of my friends say it is not good, they look more into the exam point of view... and i don't like it, i don't like learning in the exam point of view.

I used to use books a lot when I was younger. Now, mostly I use the internet because it's quicker to find what you need, but not always correct. So, for research, I get a few books and a few internet sources.

The speed, i wonder how i missed saying that. thank you for that friend. The interne is do really fast and more over they have pictorial representation of stuff which helps in better understanding... should really thank those people spending their time in creating videos, presentations, pdfs, pictures and other education related stuff. May be they have their own benefits but it is beneficial to thousand thousands of us :)

Yes there are more information on the internet than the books and ofcourse homework any of us would look for help on the net... i usually find simple homework stuff done and posted in forums and blogs and other websites but I usually just keep those for a reference.
Take care friend,
Billy :)
