My son loves to play out, he is 6 years old and th other night he came in exhausted but very grubby from his day of play, he washed his hands and had his dinner and I then said I was going upstairs to run his bath before bed, when I came back downstairs he had fallen asleep with one shoe one and one shoe of and half on and half off the sofa, I had to smile and he looked so angelic fast asleep but oh so dirty lol. I didn't wake him but woke him half an hour earlier the next morning to bathe him before school. I call him my little dirt magnet lol. Are there any names other than their own that you call your children and if so why. Please share.
Huggles. Ellie :D

lol..sounds just like my little one....dirt magnet...I like that name :)
My older one was ver neat and would change his clothes if he even got one drop of water on it. But he was the kind who would fall asleep just about anywhere. And I've a pic of him sleeping standing up and leaning on a sofa!
The younger one would try to be awake as much as possible and then get cranky.
Both my kids have wierd names my husband has named them....Bindranwala , Brundankurup...Gilly Wonka (because he loved the old Willy Wonka movie), etc.

When mine was a little lad he was my Muck Monster., his elder brother called him stinky ( actually still does)
It is because of muck monster that i had to learn how to clean bathrooms, sew and repair clothes., fix injuries.. remove teeth ( ITS TRUE). in fat my kitchen was set up like a mini A & E during the school holidays.... removing twigs out of arms., gravel from knees and glass from scalp... all good fun eh?
He was the kind of child no matter what clothes he wore he alsways looked crumpled, and unwashed and disheveled.. where his elder brother always looked smart tidy and together., which was not the case as he usually was messier than the monster....
Muck monster always looked guilty too., and still does...
The eldest now has a two year old boy who is like his uncle MUCK MONster 2 the return but at least he's had the training ha ha the situation makes me laugh as eldest still a tidy sort.... he has a new baby daughter as well today so this should be interesting
~THE GOOD NEWS
Muck monster washes his own clothes still visits the real A & E for the more serious knocks and for the lesser i get a phone call. Although he nearly six foot tall and built well and looks like a bad boy., his heart is still a good one
i sure miss those days
so enjoy whilst they are with you, as the time is precious and worth all the fixing you have to do...
Heres a BIG SMILE FOR ALL THE MUCK MONSTERS PAST AND PRESENT
bless there little grubby hearts

I will call my kids little tootsey. Weasel. Because they are so small and charming. My kids have fell asleep dirty a couple of times too. My little girl, loves to fall asleep after I give her a bath in the day time. I will have to keep her wide awake so that she won't go to sleep so fast.

My little granddaughter is a dirty magnet too..I call her my little dirt bug..she loves anything to do with being outside, in the dirt, near the water, playing on the trampoline. Her pawpaw hunts Arrow Heads and she has to be the first one to check out his new treasures, and she's only 2 years old.
I'm so concerned for my new grandson. His daddy is a diddy when it comes to dirt.I know that poor child is never going to be even allowed to play in a sand box! When the baby was a few weeks old, and daddy was still at school (he's was a senior at University of KY) my daughter called him to tell him she was afraid maybe the baby was getting sick, as the baby was sneezing, coughing, a little congested (all newborn things), daddy asks her, "Have you been bathing him?" He thought he may be sick because my daughter wasn't giving him a nightly bath!!

Our little girl has the very typical nickname by her daddy of 'princess'. She is such a girly girl and so bossy at times that 'princess' actually really suits her! We have also called her our 'little snuggle bug' as she is so cuddly at times.
I had to laugh when I found out what my husband was nicknamed as as a child - 'Bloopbloop'! Still to this day his sister calls him that - the reason? I have no idea!

hi ellie since my son always did everything earlier than the books on child care I used to call him wonderchild and when he got older he
was computer nerd, he stated that one as he loved computers with a passion which only grew as he got older, now today hes one upset man with no job and years of computer programming experience. I ache with feeling so helpless when he was a kid even a teen I could help now I cannot.

Hi Hatley, In this day of computers you would think it would be easier for him to get a job bless. Is there anyway he could set up on his own to fix home computers for people as there is a definite need there, some people only know how to sitch on and use so he could charge a baic hourly ate and clean their system up and free space etc plus install any software they may be beneficial. Such talent shouldn't be wasted. Huggles. Ellie :D

I guess we called them kids, like you kids get ready for school, you kids take your baths, you kids eat your breakfast. It seems like there wer all three lumped together most of the time. I also through in an additional children that happened to be at the house.

“Angels With Dirty Faces”...How cute is that? I have looked at my little one when she has fallen asleep after a big day at play and yes, she is dirty, her hair is one huge tangle but she is so beautiful. I call my daughter ‘Pucci, pucci bau bau’ which sounds completely stupid but it is what my dad used to call me on the rare occasions when he was nice to me. That silly little excuse of a nickname meant so much to me at the time because the displays of affection were non existent in our house and terms of endearment extremely rare.

My grandmother said that todays dirt is healthy but today's dirt tomorrow is filth. So as long as he was having a good time and he got a bath before the next school day, he was a healthy, happy kid.
As for other names my kids go by, my youngest is Zach and last name is McD. The child loves to eat so we call him ZMac & Cheese or Little Mac. His brother is Big Mac of course.

As a grandmother i can only remember my son at that age. Makes me smile and sigh. My grand kids are that way. I remember hurrying them in almost time for mommy to be home, put them in the tub and get their clothes in the washer, she did not need to know how much fun we had. HA

Hi Sally, LOL I can imagine you doing that, back to clan angels rather than angels with dirty faces when mummy gets home. Getting dirty is great fun for kids and they have just as much fun in the bath scrubbing it off, well I know my son does as he has boats and toys in the bath with him. Huggles. Ellie :D

I call my little brother "clay", he is a year and 8 mos old but he is gifted in creating clay figures. So cute that I bought a small glass cabinet to keep all his masterpiece so I can show it to him when he grows up as a kid, that way I can help him mold his talent and his future.
