Unconditional love this is what is all about, when only love, respect and trust is important. These are the basics of one truly happy relationship. This all that matters anyway.

Hello dear bhai, Well worded,what more i can say? Unconditional love maybe one reason. loving someone without expecting in return. Martyr doom is out of topic,but somehow helpful for saving a relationship. Loving blindly and deaf for all the shortcomings of his/her partner. Giving without taking anything. And crying his/herself to sleep,without regretting for all the sacrifices. Sacrificing oneself and forgetting that he/she exists for the sake of their relationship. I just totally agree with your concept of a good relationship here. I believe that trust is the major foundation of all relationships...wether towards a friend, parent, child, boyfriends/girlfriends...because without this element of trust then respect and love will definitely be threatened thus shattering the relationship into pieces. Trust is like a glue for everything...without it LOVE cannot harbor and grow. On the other hand TRUST goes hand in hand with UNDERSTANDING for this manner, each binds and secure the true meaning of a lasting and best relationship so far. And yes, I do agree that a great relationship needs two wonderful people. The relationship is at its best when they make each other better each day. Although nobody's perfect, each must accept the shortcomings and lesser qualities of each individual. UNDERSTANDING creates ACCEPTANCE and this may be the most important ingredient in maintaining a relationship. These elements makes a less perfect relationship closer to perfection. But in my opinion, a good relationship shoud have a responsibility for each other. Each partner has the responsibility to guide each one of them not to do harm towards other people. For wives with cheating partners, it is never an excuse that you let your husband cheat in exchange that he will not leave you. It should be noted that even though it is not your fault that your husband cheats, it is still your part on the relationship to maintain the security of the marriage in order to prevent concubinage in the present and future. Both partners are to blame for this kind of scenario.

Best relationship for me is the love between mother and a child. Mother have unconditional love, a child can leave a mother, but a mother cannot do that to her child. I believe all mother's are like that, that is why when a mother I know treated her child like they are not hers, i feel ashamed on her. And motherly love, does need any promises, terms and condition.

vijayanths the best relationship is when you love and trust each other with unconditional love,each accepting the other as they are, warts and all,not thinking oh I dont like her hair but I will get her to dye it, or I dont like his smoking so I will make him quit. no we accepted each other just the way we were and thats unconditonal love which is not so common since most try to remake each other. we also trusted and respected each other, I am a widow now but we hag 33 years of a good marriage. no regrets on myside at all.

Yeah,I agree with you.I believe there is a link between two people,who are destined to meet each other and be good friends.Just like me,I've got my best friends ever met now.She is just the one who I'd like to devote my all to.We will sometimes say that it's destiny.Everybody may have such kind of links with another people,we just have to wait for him or her.
