It is my eldest daughters last year at University and the last few weeks as she has so many exams I have had briefs chats with her on the phone on her way to the library. Is anyone else in the middle of exams tight now? How do you revise? Are you finding it stressful? Good luck to all you students right now, hope you all get excellent grades. Please share your experiences. Huggles. Ellie :D

Exams will start in a fortnight at our school. There are students who are busy doing past papers while others are just waiting time. Some really worry and strive hard to get good grades while others do not bother at all. Even at my son's school, exams start in a fortnight. So I have t help my son in his studying. He needs a bit of help

Thanks Ellie for your greetings. He is a smart kid despite having some difficulties which can restrain him a bit. He is good at academic stuff but his attention span is really short. I hope your daughter does well at university.

Hi Ronaldino, Hope your son does well in his exams. I know my daughter has been up til all hours and in the library the rest of the time for the last couple of months, hers finish at the end of this week, then perhaps she will relax a bit, but I realise how important it is for her bless. I cannot help in anyway as he is away at university rather then nearby but am on the end of the phone if she needs me. Huggles. Ellie :D

*Raises both hands up*. I will have my exams next week on Friday and yes, I have been camping out in the library most of the time (9am to 11pm). The atmosphere here is so much better for studying rather than staying at home and stuy. Plus, I get to discuss with my friends about all the things that I am unsure of. The only troublesome thing for me to go to the library in the campus is that its 20minutes walk away.

Hi Caralyser, Wll good luck with your exams, my daughter has the same problem with the distance to the library as she lives off campus too which is why she phones me from her mobile on the walk there as she has no other free time at the moment. Huggles. Ellie :D

Can I remember ? Oh your just twisting the knife in the open wound :D I am just starting the exams tomorrow and i am SO NOT looking forward to it. I find it most annoying and less stressful, not having the experience of 6 terms of college exams and 1 term of master exams. Well i don't really want excellent grades, i want passing grades - never failed an exam since i started college and the MBA and i don't want to start now. Well for my first exam, i have a nasty teacher that doesn't really like what he is doing (i mean teaching) but i am guessing he needs the money or something, and i have to read a lot of crappy cases that he is suppose to use for 3 questions in the exams - i just finished my 57th page out of about 100 (or more), haven't really counted them all. In the morning i have work up to 12 a.m., and i get home at 13:15 and i hope i get another 3 hours of study (my exam starts at 18:00). Well back to learning now, just wanted to writhe a discussion and respond to this one :D Take care :D

Hi Elitess, Ouch lol, I just knew I needed to start this discussion to rub salt in the wound for you!!! Get back to the other 43 pages then. Good luck not that you sound like you need it. It is a shame about the teacher as I found I excelled in subjects where3 I liked the teacher and had little or no interest in the subjects where I didn't get on with teacher but that was school work not like the course you are doing. Huggles. Ellie .........of to find posted discussion ..........

I have always had a special hate for exams, I hate to take them, I hate to wwrite them and I hate to grade them. To me there has got to be a better way to judge how much knoweldge a person has. But I don't know what it is. Good luck to all involved in this.

I remember exams and the stress involved during the preparation. Looking back I don’t know how I got through them! I don’t know what it’s like in other countries but in Australia kids are placed under a great deal of pressure to pass their exams. I think that the teens are told that their whole future depends on these results and I don’t think that does anything but put more pressure on them. There are other options if the exam results are not up to scratch, like technical college courses etc, it does not have to mean life is over. Anyway, I wish your daughter all the very best, I’m sure she will do well; she’s been working very hard by the sound of it. I'll send her good vibes!

Hi Paula, the other day on the phone my daughter used that exact expression to describe how she was feeling 'my whole future depends on these results mum an I have done ok in one and one aother was horrible and it will affect my whol grade. She is working hard bless and has done for the last few years as this is her last year at University. I prey that she does well as she does deserve too. They do put them under so much pressure don't they. I remember all that revision years ago too. Huggles. Ellie :D

Believe me, that is something very common in students nowadays. I have just finished my exams, but I remember that last week I couldn´t quit my eyes from the books without the fear that I was going to fail (fortunately, that didn´t happenned).

hi ellie this brings back memories as I went back to finish the last two years at the U of Cal so I could get my degree. I spent a lot of time reviwing and studying and aced almost all of my finals but the darned latin review which I did not have to take and should not have taken, but I started out on the bus to the U and the bus stopped, everybody off , therewill be another bus for you in five minutes, bomb squad, police, the whole bit, so by the time I get to the U and to take the last damned exam I am fifteen minutes late so get shunted into a room with all the late ones. I am chilled to the bone,,exhausted all ready and just take the test and justhope to pass. I did not paas that damned latin grammar which I did not have to take as I had fufilled the languages requiremnts aqlready. so that bad grade pulled my a plus down to a b minus but i did graduate but nott with honors. I was on the honor roll in the junior college both years.so the morale is do not take a course if it is not mandatory for your degree.

Hi Hatley, That is such a shame but at least you still passed but yes I will bear that in mind, I am in the middle of a degree but working from home at the moment and I was thinking about taking on another course but I think I will get this one under the belt before I attempt anything else. I really feel for my daughter right now, she has worked so hard and even had a placement to do research at Cambridge University and work experience at Hammersmith hospital. Huggles Ellie :D
