Don't you think Twitter is useless? I mean, why would everybody want to know your every thought? Twitter may be useful for famous people and people who have businesses. But now more and more people are using it. Almost everyone I know have a twitter account. Are there any benefits of having a twitter account? Don't you think it's just a waste of time? I do. Lol. ;)

I personally don't know what the rave about Twitter is all about. I agree that it's mostly for famous people. Even then, I don't care they're doing all the time. I'm fine with Facebook and myLot. I used to use Myspace and Xanga a long time ago. =)

I do have a twitter account but I haven't opened it for quite sometime now. I don't know what the rave is all about. It's really for famous people only and maybe if you want to really stalk a particular person. Facebook is a lot better in my opinion 'cause you really get to connect with friends, schoolmates, classmates and family. I find twitter a little bit useless. It's not that exciting to use. I think it's pretty boring to use twitter.

I lost interest pretty quickly. But I know at least one person who is pretty successfully using it to promote an online business.

I use social networking as a business reputation tool, and am responsible for maintaining our company's presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN - of all of these I find Twitter the least useful and interactive of the lot, and it's only really there for completeness' sake. I tend to just cross post relevant stuff I am putting out to the other networks. We've got more followers on Twitter than on Facebook actually, but they never interact meaningfully, and I find it difficult to build any kind of brand relationship there either. I use it as a desk research tool to explore trends, but so far as putting our own stuff out there, I find it a bit useless. Facebook I also use extensively personally, but I could never imagine using Twitter personally. The noise-to-interest ratio is toooo high...
