What is the best processor, amd or intel? / myLot

I always confuse about the differences of amd and intel processors. I don't know when to use intel or amd processor in my computer. I am planning to buy new computer. Can you help me to choose from them?

I vote for Intel, not only because I am using my lovely Intel P IV almost 5 years, but, because Intel CPUs work faster, has more cache(even it depends of cores), works on less temperatures. Intel is the right choice for me and am very pleased of my choice.

How about amd, do you have an experience to use it?
