My friends and I are going to Cebu for 3D/2N. Suggestions, please. It's my first time there and I'd probably take a vacation again by next year so it better be perfect. Please suggest places to eat too. I've heard that Cebuanos serve a mean Sizzling Pochero (which is Bulalo in Manila). Many thanks!

I love their dried mangos and otap. So far, the best spot in Cebu is Mactan. I admired it so much because there were cheap items that's worth every penny. I am really stingy so a person like me would enjoy spending some time there.

thsi may be too late for your trip..but anyhow, this could help out other myLotters who are planning to explore Cebu. First of all, Cebu is really one of the best places to go for a vacation, if you're not a local. THere's just endless list of things and places to check out, without the stressful traffic and heavily polluted air. Cebu is known for its beaches... the closest to the city are the beach resorts in Mactan area: Hilton, Shangrila, Tambuli, Bluewaters, Cebu BEach Club, etc... the water is not that good, but the accomodation is just right for the price. Most of the time, this is where guests take off for diving, snorkeling and other water activities. These resorts have great pools, too. If your tripping to go above sea level -- you can also check out Mountain View Resort, Tops, Busay Adventure Park and Island in the Sky. Mountain View Resort - at night, you get a good city light view and cool mountain breeze while singing your heart out at the videoke machines. They also now have a pool --- woow, really cold water in there. Or, if you just want to chillax and chitchat with friends or lovey dovey, this is the place to be. Tops - way higher than Mountain View, the Tops also has a cooler whaeather and great view. Bring your cameras and take great photos of you and your friends. Busay Adventure Park - they have a zipline, which is great for kids, coz its not too high and you can even hung yourself upside down...cool! Island in the Sky - this is a great place to stay overnight...really cold and they have activity areas, as well... Ifyou want real great beach and sunset/sunrise view, then you have to travel north to Maya, and take 20-30 min ride on an outrigger boat to the island of Malapascua. Its like a small Boracay, with lesser commercial activities. YOu can have your peach and quiet in this place. YOu can also go for a more active trip in Bantayan Island. Both islands offer white sand beach and a great sunset and sunrise view/ there are a lot more places, but the above are the best for me, so far... im feeling sleepy now, i cant focus on the writing... message me ifyou want to know more... i could share itineraries with you too... HAve a great trip!

I love the barbeque in Cebu, the one near Chong Hua Hospital .. .You may visit the Taoist temple if you wish. You may stay in a hotel somewhere in Fuente Osmena because that's very accessible to taxi and malls ... Don't forget to bring home OTAP as pasalubong . .Shamrock Otap is the best ..
