Can you believe in a God without belonging to a religion

I don't want to rule out an existence of a God, but I can't accept a young earth, and I also believe in evolution.
I find it hard to have any discussions with religious people, because of this view but something inside tells me that creation is not correct.
Yet with atheists I also find it hard to discuss with them.
So, am I the only one who feels this way, or are there anyone out there who believes the same as me?
I can't see how the world was spawned by just one couple, nor do I see humans and dinosaurs coexisting.

Honestly If i dont to belong to any religion i would still belive there's a God. There's a big question behind our existence. There's so many questions in my mind like where did we came from? why are we superior among other animals? Its just like there's someone controlling things happening in our world and i believe thats God.

I can't accept a young earth too, and I fully endorse evolution. But I am a Christian. Young earth creationist argument is based on absolutely non-sensical interpretation of Bible. So please don't take them seriously.
Btw, I see the issue like this: the moment one believes in God that becomes a religion.
