Whose Skeleton does Desmond see in the series finale?

After Jack and Locke lowers Desmond into The Heart of the Island, while Desmond walks to remove the rock, he sees a skeleton lying there on ground. Whose Skeleton is it? It can't be MIB's as his skeleton was found in the survivors' cave camp as Adam & Eve. So, whose is this skeleton?

There was more than one and they were people who had tried to get to, or put out the light, over the long history of the island.
