While we were in Chicago last week, my nephew sent my friend's daughter a text- it said it was from something "fullback..." but I told him that he plays defense in football and the fullback is an offensive position! He kept arguing with me, just to get me going and assured me that he played defense and is a fullback.. finally he told me I was refering to American football and he was talking about soccer!! lol! What a misunderstanding...ever happen to you?

Lol,
I think that is time to start calling American Football, American Football and not just football, after all, "soccer" was created first and deserves to be called as it was meant to be called.
But your situation is understandable, I mean, fullback is a position that is played in both sports, they are very different ,lol, but that's their name.
Cheers!

lol! I found out the difference this weekend! I don't know why "American football" is called football to begin with. You don't use your feet -- maybe it should be called "hand" ball because we use our hands more than our feet!

It doesn't make sense, does it? lol.
I agree with you that it should be called hand ball, but it doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon.
Cheers!
