Hey molotters. Do you think, that these years produced movies are less interesting than movies in 90-th for example, even all these special effects and so on... For example, this year I liked only 2-3 movies I watched. All others were just stupid with very boring stories and weak play.

There were few movies which were hyped but they didnt raise to the desired standard of movies or didnt turn out to be hit, may be now the people are asking change in way of presenting there is requirement of change which covers a different story

Well, I like very few movies that come out these days for moral reasons. I'm the kind of person who wants to watch family friendly flicks their whole life. There are very few "adult" movies that I actually want to see these days. I don't think the age of creativity ended in the 90s. I LOVED Lord of the Rings, and those came out in the early 2000s. I'm a big fan of high fantasy, and I keep waiting for the next great high fantasy films. There are very few, but there's one that I'm looking forward to coming out this year, The Last Airbender. I'm a fan of the original cartoon series and M. Night Shyamalan, so I have high hopes for it.

You're right many movies today concentrate more on showing cool/realistic special effects and has forgotten the importance of a good story. The moral lessons are even seldom portrayed.
There are also movies which were based on great books. But some (only some) ruined the story of the book because they left out the good parts just to fit it all out in a 2-hour movie.
