Family fighting for characters in a tv serial

It is like the pride and backing some give a sports group. Alot of people really look up to actors like a political figure or something. It isn't real life but to these people it might as well be. They take it very seriously. It all becomes a part of their lives and in some cases even like family or loved ones.

That is so interesting! I have never seen anyone do that before! To fight over what is happening in a soap opera is losing touch with reality and I would be concerned. I have to wonder how many people are affected by soapies to this extent. I am addicted to a couple which I rarely miss but I am still aware that it is not real life and the actors are probably nothing like the characters they play in the real world.

For me it is common because Satan influence the person who is devil it is not cured by the television only it is need a police.

OH I know an easy solution to that drama, just turn the tv off or cut the cord off. Then there will be a fight about something else instead.

well first of all these are just serials which entertain the people and are very effective at giving whatever message it can give to the audience. Depending on peoples point of view they can understand and learn from the serial or like small kids they follow the serial wholeheartedly. The people who casted the serial are just doing it for money(like me:P)but it's a fact also which they are showing. Given a chance many would rather watch a sour and hot family than a so sweet family. In movies there all usually happy endings so we can expect those. But when something bad happens then all of us just eagerly pounce on those. It takes a long time for a man to be good but to prove he's bad it only takes a minute. In short the tv is doing it's job by attracting the audience that's all. It's upto us whether we want to be like them or just watch for the sake of it. But some other serials are good too. Like "jassi jaisi koi nahin". That is a serial worth watching.

Maybe they can relate to the situation of each characters. Even, if it is not real they perceived it as real because the events are happening in true life. Maybe they idolize that actor so that's why this things are happening.

In my family we only discuss the episodes of each serial at the dining table.But me, my elder son and father take an aversion to these soaps.That is why i have taken a separate connection attached to my system.MY son, father and me watch sports,news and other interesting programs oblivious to what is going on with the soap watchers in the house.

I have not seen any such fight but heard of it in similar way. Perhaps they get attcahed to characters very well and feel that whatever is being shown is really happeing ( ignore that its reel not real). Just consider that these shows are just for the entertainment, take the good things and forget all after show is over.

maybe becuase they idolize the actor thats why they fight for him. and they like the character and it seems like it touches theier life. anyway its just a tv series, i used to watch drama on tv and feel sad when the leading man/lady is being maltreated. i mean not treated well. my english is not good. and when that idol of them are being defomated they will get hurt thats why maybe some of the family in india are fighting.

em]rofl[/em]..it shows that how acting of some actor do influence some viewers or in this case some poeple..hehe..ya know the hindustan movies will have bad character, the good one and the climax of the movies..maybe each person like different character and started to argue about them.maybe if we hate the nice one because we think that she shouldn't be that nice but some will say that it is good to be that nice and bla bla bla..don't worry even me and my family sometimes quarrel over the stupid thing and eventually everyone will laughed..

I think it's the same for some families in the Philippines. I think, it only means that the actors of the TV series are very effective. I must also admit that sometimes I get into a small fight with my siblings because of TV series. Haha. It's just that, we have our own preference of whose actor we are in favor with. It's sometimes fun though to have this cute little fights with the family. And oh, of course we are aware that it's not real life. We just get carried away.
