Hi myLotters,
I am using Windows 7 since 2 months, and frankly speaking I am addicted to it, I have one old computer where I have installed Xp but I don't like to use Xp since I have installed Windows 7.
It has really nice graphics, new cool features and specially I like that automatically wallpaper changing feature, it's really nice. And it's Icons? Really much better then Xp. And themes from Microsoft are really nice.
I would give 10 points to the 7, because it's nice in every way. What about you? How would you rate this OS?
Don't forget to tell me since how long are you using this Os, and what do you like in that?
Happy myLotting !!

i think your pc is enough for windows 7. because it needs a minimum of 1gb ram.. and your processor speed is also good.. now your graphic card should must be supported with the windows vista..

It is good to know that Window 7 is working good for you, have not yet tried it and I use XP.
Is it easier to download software on Window 7, if you could tell me?

Thanks for the information on Windows 7. I am currently running Vista and it's OK but sometimes a bit slow. I will soon be needed to purchase a new desktop so as not to wear out my laptop because it has had a fair bit of use. I will look forward to seeing what & is like. _Derek

Well I still use windows vista but when I first got her she was fat and slow so I had to strip her just joking.I just decreased the graphic settings, changed the windows them in vista to a plain one and added a cool wall paper webshots its a free program. So my back ground changes each day.I also decreased the number of programs that run in the back ground.so my vist is slim and sexy compared to others.

I am using XP at present.
But i have win 7 in my laptop and its awesome
I recommend all to use win 7 if you have a better pc which can handle its high requirements.
Also its easily available :)

Xp requires less requirements, whereas 7 requires high configuration because of it's features, it needs higher RAM and higher processor speed.
If you have 512 MB of RAM, and P4 processor then XP is best for you, but for 7, you'll require at least Dual Core processor and 1 GB RAM. It's the minimum requirement, Microsoft recommends 2 GB for this, but as per my experience it runs good with 1 GB also.

I heard about it awesome features from my friends who have been using this for a while now...I have plans to hop onto Windows 7 as soon as i get hold of an 1 TB External hard drive....so i can empty my hard disk and install some games as well.Frankly speaking Linux has great features compared to windows and i bet you Linux would be the future....windows cannot withstand this open source OS which is on a roll for years now.Coming to the current version(i have windows XP installed) which is stable---i would love to explore all kinda OS and pick the best.great day.

yes i really love windows 7 ....i have been using it for almost 8 months....i love every aspect of it....like when u shake any windows all the windows open get minimised....and many such small things make its usability great....just one problem that many of my old games dont work on this mew version of windows....

I've been using the seven since the alpha release, i am suscribed as beta tester of microsoft reason I get it so early so I can tell that almost 2 year already and to be honest is really good. to compare it with windows xp is not such a fair comparison, considering how much more support you can find for this os but in performance in a standard way i think 7 is way better.
I'm glad that it replaced vista so fast because vista was a big mistake, just like happened when they made the transition from 98 to xp having windows millenium in the middle.
I would give to the 7 a 8.5 yet, because it have to improve a bit the memory usage and the limitedness that the 32 bits versions have but well is not it faults but from the era... when we jump to 64 bits and have the respective systems for that it might be something interesting to see.

Well, it seems that you have quite deep knowledge about operating systems, I am really impressed.
Yes, they replaced vista fast, windows millennium was their mistake, I don't know very much about that os.
Actually 7 needs some improvement like Network Activity icon at task bar, at XP there's icon with shows lights about activity of network. But here at 7 there's no activity Icon there.

Whether windows 7 is better or not depend on your personal computer.I use windows xp many years,i love to use it also.It is said that windows 7 and vista have require of the hardware of PC.Vista has higher requirement than windows 7 of hardware of PC.Windows 7 has higher requirement than windows xp.So if your computer's hardware is well enough, you can use windows 7 or vista.

Yeah! It's better than any OS.
