Rafael Benitez Agrees To Leave Liverpool after being told by chairman Martin Broughton today that there was minimal money to buy new players this summer.
Broughton is understood to have then offered Benitez a severance deal to leave Anfield and bring his six-year reign to an end. It has been widely suggested that the club mooted a compensation package worth £3 million.
Do you think this is the beginning of the decline of LFC??? Roy Hodgson is supposed to take up reins.. Will dat be good? Leav your comments.

Thank god rafa has gone!
He spend a ridiculous amount of money on a player last season who was injured most of the time in Aqualani so that is prob why they wont give him anymore as he is not smart with his money. Most of his transfers he has bought have not worked out well at all there might be about 4 decent players he bought, Torres, Reina,Alonso who he sold, Mascharano.

heh can understand ur frustration chillpill.. bt for a club like LFC to chuck managers like dis which they have never ever done.. we are one of the few clubs in the world who respect our coaches unlike RM and Inter Milan's... thos amercian goons are worthless sitting in their board rooms talkin crap,, bt ur rite rafa has made sme bad decisions and shud seek new pastures.

Rafa has performed well in almost every season , and this is the first time that they struggled . I think LFC should have given a last chance . By doin that , their money can also be saved . I think the current Fulham manager , Roy Hodgson is a good manager . He lead Fulham to new heights . He took them to the finals of europa league ! I heard that he is a wonderful manager . I think Liverpool will not decline . Afterall they are 1 of the best teams in the premier league history ! .

Its the end of an era. I really hope that they bring a coach with the talent in the level of Benítez and I hope the new owners could invest big like Manchester City or Chelsea.
I am worried though about Gerrard and Torres future, I know that Gerrard didn't get that well with Rafa, but Fernando Torres did, and not only that, Torres said that he came to Liverpool specially because of Benítez.
Hopefully he will stay and then the new owners can invest to bring the Champions League to Liverpool again.
Cheers!
