this discussion is all about kids growing up too quickly, anyways as part of my course at school couple of years ago i had to become a teachers assistant to 4-6 year old children, all was fine until one day a couple of little girls braught in lipstick, shoes and started to talk about having boyfriends and little babies.
this shocked me for a while until i realised this is happening everywhere, i see young children wearing very revealing clothes in the summer and some of them wearing heels ( 5-7 year old children )
what is your oppinion on this? is this a good or a bad thing? should we try and do something about this or leave it be?

Now this is the discussion to be having. I will tell you my story and give you my opinion. I have, technically, 4 girls. They are 4, 11, 11, and 7. My girls, 7 and 11 are both being brought up to not be vain and grow their hair out, one peice suits or 2 peice being that it covers body parts (ahem). The 4 year old and 11 year old are my beau and he thinks it's fine that their parts (ahem) play peek-a-boo. My argument is that I wasn't raised to show off parts, and with all the perverts in the world, they don't need to anyways. I don't want them to show off things that don't need to be shown off. Dress clothes are for dressy occasions, and make-up if needed is only to cover up ugly scars, etc. ( I have scarred skin, so a bronzing powder and a little chapstick do just fine). His daughters are allowed to wear platforms with bitty shorts and swimsuits that show off hoohaw's and then some. The 11 year old wears heavy black eyeliner and red lips and tiny shirts and shorts. I want mine to have some respect for themselves and he said his are just being little girls. (Ahem) 11 year old is already sexually active. I beleive it's a bad thing to allow things like that. Being a mom, I now realize why my dad wanted us to be the people we are today. It looks trashy. I wish only to be a kid again and not grow up as fast as I did and today's kids are trying their luck at being 21 when they are only 11. Breaks my heart to see this happeneing. When I was a kid, the only big decision I had was to play in the mud or what crayon to use. I wish kids were like that again and if I have to die trying, I will see that my kids are kids until they need to grow up.

yeah i blame the parents, i would never allow my daughter to wear certain things when she was younger. its sad parents allowing thier kids to grow up way to fast.
