Is your pc loud and noisy? Does your cat lay on it from time to time? Do the math, she is most likely sticking her tail into the fans that are now slower and louder and there's a lot of dust in the case. Clean your case and try to put a nylon sock over the fan so that the tail won't get sucked in. Hope that helps, tell me where does your cat usually lay, have a great day

I don't have a cat but when I lived with my parents a while back, they had a computer and a pomeranian. If you know anything about those critters, you know they shed like crazy if not properly groomed all the time. "Misty" would rub all over the floor and leave gobs of hair everywhere. The computers fan would pick up bits and peices. Mom is a computer wiz and would take the whole thing apart to find what was wrong with it only to find that there was hair in the fan and on the blades. We started making sure that we vacuumed more, especially in that area. It makes the thing work like new. We also found out that if you smoke around your computer, it does the same thing. So find a new place to smoke.

Why is it you have a cat in your computer? Do you leave it open without a case, or you have a hole that serves as entrance for the cat to come inside your computer? The cat should not go in because if the animal accidentally piss on it, the urine might short-circuit everything on it including the motherboard.
