Last Friday morning, my friends and I were at the gym doing our workout. At the corner of the gym, was this moderately overweight lady on the treadmill. She was running but panting away as she was out of breath. We were afraid that she may passed out anytime, on seeing her breathing. But after a short while, she stopped, hugged her towel and started crying aloud. We went to ask her if she was in pain then we offered her a drink. She expressed her appreciation and asked us what we would have done if our beloved or soulmate turn to us and said," Honey, would you shape up or ship out."
We had a lengthy discussion with her. However, I would like to hear of your opinion and what you would have done.

I pity that poor lady. She is unfortunate to have a soul mate who measure her base on her weight. It's unacceptable to threaten her to 'ship out'. Even if her spouse is concerned over her weight which potentially degrade her health, he should encourage her to take any slimming course. It's wrong to hurt or intimidate her in such a way. I don't know if his spouse is more evil, to just simply get an excuse to remove her, before making way for new lover.

if i was in that womans situation i wouldnt care about what my soulmate said to me, i am who i am, yeah i may have put on a couple of pounds but should your soulmate love you for who you are rather than whay you look like? i would have said i am shipping out if you cant accept me for who i am, that will be his loss not mine, then i would carry on with my life to find a man that would love me no matter what my shape or size!
