If you sat down next to Jesus on a bus, what would you talk about?

Imagine you got the chance to sit next to Jesus on the bus. What would you say and why?
I would thank him first for everything he has done for my family, and for me being able to take this long journey of life. I would thank Him for sacrificing himself for all of us, and for continuing to bless us everyday.
And I would tell him what sorrows we all experience everyday, and ask him why. Because I want to know if 2012 is really true, and what he plans to do with us in our futures.
So what would you ask or talk about? Let us all know!!!!

When Jesus returns we will not know what he looks like. Will he tell us he is Jesus? Will we believe him if he said he was Jesus? We are suppose to treat everyone as though they were Christ. WE are not suppose to pick and choose. What would I talk about; I am not sure. What ever direction the conversation leads I will try to stay focused on the topic on hand. I will always be respectful and polite.

That's NOT TRUE. The bible plainly states the entire WORLD will know Who He is. He will return in a cloud of glory surrounded by saints & angels. There will be NO mistake Who & what He is. "Every knee (including ours) will bow before Him."
You really NEEEED to really READ your bible. If that's not in YOUR bible...your bible is a fake. Get a copy of the Dhouey-Rheims bible, still the acknowledged best translation available!
But yes, we are supposed to treat everyone as if he or she might be the Christ, out of love for Him & His teachings, & because while it's not His ultimate, & yearned-for "Return," He does occasionally appear to individuals. And since even if it's NOT Him, He wants us to love everyone because He does, we should be obedient to His gentle wishes.
But trust me, or at least the Bible, when he comes to stop time, you'll have a clue or two...

He might tell you, but there's a very good reason WHY it wasn't recorded (& any text that says it was is not accepted by Christians). He purposefully left that period blank because He was not ready to preach, as He was (& still is) obedient to His earthly parents. Teenagers should be quiet, not full of themselves as many nowadays are, as they nearly always lack wisdom. In our youth-idolizing culture, we've forgotten that.
The only reason the meeting with the Temple elders was shown was to show how He was all-wise, as only God can be, to help establish His right to later be called the Son of God. And please note that even then, He demonstrated humility before His elders, as an example (Jesus is ALWAYS a Christian's example) to others His age. He never preached to them, but asked them enlightening questions to help them gain insight into the Law & the purpose of their calling. Recall how astonished at His wisdom!
So, as I said, fantasize all you like, but the gap has a perfectly reasonable reason for existing. His silence was His record, & it speaks volumes.

Wow, I'd be so thrilled I'd probably be shaking all over. I will of course start by giving some huge thanks to all that He had done for us, and then I will go directly to the point, telling him to end war and poverty, to save the environment, and to please throw a light on all evil men so this world will become once more a truly beautiful place to live in.

That's not His purpose. Please read your bible thoroughly. This world will burn before He returns, environmentalists aside. We can all do our best to keep this temporary home clean, but this is not where we're supposed to end up. "There will be a new Heaven & a new Earth."

I don't think I would be so rational like you. If I ever had that chance of being able to sit right next to Him, I think the most that I can do is just glance at Him with awe and if He allows I would want o give Him a kiss to His feet and a hug.

Nice topic you got here! I am looking forward to sit next to Jesus and talk to him visibly. I would tell Him this, "Thank You for giving me my family, for every time I wake up in the morning, I see my happy family, I still have my friends and my boyfriend with me. Thank You for all the trials You have given me, because of that, I learned a lot of things and those trials made me realize who I really am. Thank You for not giving up on me and for understanding me all the time. Thank You for always forgiving me for what I have done wrong and what I have failed to do. I would like also to say sorry for all the things I have done that happened hurt others' feelings. And Jesus, would you let me to live thousands of healthy years with my dad? I really really love Him. Please heal all the sorrows that caused him pain, all the diseases that made him really ill. I don't wanna see him in his loose shirt and loose pants because he is really thin now. I am hurting every time I see him in pain. Please Jesus, guide him always. Please Jesus, let him live more healthy years. My dream is for him to see that I receive my diploma and finish a degree, to give him all the stuffs he wants for himself and all the medicines we can't afford to buy. Please Jesus, help my mother to ease her about everything, help her to become more persistent and dedicated. I really really love her. Please Lord, help my family, my friends and loved ones. Help me and P so that we can survive in our relationship. Lord, I offer you all my worries and pain. I know, you know what's the best for me and You leads me to it, and surely, You will take me through it. I love You Jesus. "

You sit beside Him every time you pray. I've asked Him to "return soon" daily, just about. He always answers prayers (though He often says "no," to those He knows won't benefit from some request), when the time is right.
So ask Him today! If He believes you'll benefit, He's tell you, but I personally doubt He will. I can see all sorts of bad things it could cause!
If it's any consolation, it won't be long, according to the bible (& boo-coos of saints). There are many signs, some of which have happened. The most interesting to me is that the bible says that Israel, after long being dispersed, will come again to be a power, & that the generation born when this happens "will not pass away (until He returns)."
Israel became a nation in 1948.
I was born in January of that year.
I might not personally live to see it, but others my age will.
"So when you see these signs...look up, & rejoice! For your salvation is at hand!"
Now go read the New Testament to find out many of "the signs." And rejoice!

There's only one question I'd ask Him, & that is, HOW will we be able to be ecstatically happy in Heaven while knowing some of those we love will be in Hell forever, unless He wipes our memories--which, given His wish to let us have free will--seems totally out of character for Him? I've heard all sorts of answers, but the truth is, even the most knowledgeable don't really know HOW, just that it WILL be so. When pressed, they (rightfully) go on faith & trust. That's fine, really, but I admit, even though it won't make me lose MY faith, I still wish I could know. How will have to be a true miracle. But then, look at Whom we're dealing with...LOL!
And yes, I know we send ourselves to Hell (which is defined as both a literal place AND a condition of being totally without God's presence by Orthodox Christianity). But the ONLY thing I can imagine (with my finite mind) is that those who DO go there really wanted to go, while fully aware of God's desire for them to live in eternal happiness.
But then, how insane would anyone have to be to want that? And that leaves the conundrum: God will always be merciful to people who are mentally ill.
So, yes, that's what I'd want to talk about, just after I gave Him a kiss on His feet for everything He's done for us all!

There would not be any need for me to tell him anything. He already knows what is in my heart. If I will try to thank him, he already knows how sincere I am. His first question would be, "Why have you pained me?" He would tell me I laid down my life for you, tell me what you did for me? He would say I told you seek and you will find and knock and the door will be opened to you. Did you seek or did you knock the door to find me. He would say I said believe in me and you will have eternal life but you were busy following the Ten Commandments. Did you follow the two commandments I gave you? Finally, He would tell me that I told you to eat my body and drink my blood in my memory. He would say I know you were participating in Holy Eucharist every Sunday, but that is not what I asked you to do. Don't you know my body and blood had changed into Holy Spirit? Did you invite the Holy Spirit to come and abide in you? He would say you never gave me an opportunity to save you from sin. Unless you allow me to abide in your heart, I cannot save you. Think what answer I will give to Him for all these questions.

I think i will also tell the same thing, one more thing i will say, to give me a place near his feet, we are all selfish when it comes to prayers..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.

What a question...I think it would not happen. However, for the sake of discussion.First, I will thank Him for the things He has done. I will talk to Him like a friend, a Father, and a Savior.
I will ask what should I do to serve Him most. I also ask Him to bless me spiritually, financially, and emotionally.
However, we don't need the bus anymore and sit next to Him if we want to talk with Jesus. We just accept Him in our hearts and make Him Lord and we will be with Him always through His Holy Spirit.

I'd thank him for the chance to sit next to him. Then I'd like to ask him about his place for me in his Kingdom. I will ask him if I will be able to witness his second coming and will ask him to forgive me for everything I've done and what I am about to do. :D
2012 is just a story, I can't believe you guys believe in that.

If you happened to come to be able to sit beside Jesus, it would be because He wanted you sitting there. You may be thinking now about what you would say to Him, but I assure you the conversation would, more importantly, come around to what our Lord and Savior would like to say to you. Get out your Bible and read in the Gospel of John, Chapter 4, about Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at the well and you will get an idea of how it was that you came to be sitting next to Jesus on a bus. Her life was forever changed that day, because she met the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. He knew exactly how that conversation would transpire. The gift of Salvation is free but in order to receive it, you must accept it. There are many who walk in the footsteps of our Lord. In search of the lost, to lead them to Christ and victory over sin. Perhaps you may sit next to one on a bus someday, listen to message they have for you. The clock is ticking and time on this earth is short. The harvest is many and the workers are few.

I will thank Him for giving me this life, blessings, my family, friends. And I will thank Him for being there for us. I will say sorry for all the bad things that I've done. I will ask Him things like, How are you? Like that. I will share things about myself with Him. And I'll ask, Could you be my Bestfriend? :D

Hi there! That would be the best moment of my life i guess. Imagine, who am I to be with our dear Jesus Christ. I am just a sinner and imperfect individual that is why I will ask for forgiveness first for all the sins i committed. I will thank Him endlessly for the blessing He continuously showered upon us everyday of our lives, then I will praise Him for the goodness He had done for us all, moreover, i will ask for guidance and blessings. I will tell Him i love him then i also grab the chance to ask your questions as well. MAY jESUS BLESS US ALL. gOOD LUCK!

2012 is not true...the world will be destroyed by fire. I want to know however is if everything's predestined, preordained like if I had only taken better care of myself five years ago, would I still have had my intense bout with hyperthyroidism? I see His wisdom in allowing these things to happen to me and I know He's sovereign still despite our circumstances but I wonder. Thing is, when Jesus finally comes for us who have accepted Him as Lord and Saviour, I don't think I'd care anymore what the answers would be.

first if i would know that it was really Him,I would thank Him for all the good things that He has done to me and then I would ask Him a lot of questions wherein I never had the chance to get the answers from this world. I would hug Him and tell Him that the sacrifices He has made for us has given me hope and light in life. I would thank Him for dying on the cross and saving us from our sins. I know that God is really good all the time..
