My 16 year old daughter has started her own sewing business. Her cross the body bags are a big hit. She taught herself how to sew. She makes her own patterns too. What do you think about her bag?

I think it's awesome!!! tell her to keep on going and never give up for anything...great idea...just be careful about patent stuff...this has already been invented to she has to be careful.

We will. As with everything there is usually something out there like it. She makes several types of bags, blankets, etc.

Thanks me too! She don't get her talent from me. She is like her dad. She can picture something and go make it. I can't even make something with a pattern. It helps that she has been homeschooled for 9 years. She has developed her interests and talents that I don't think she would have done if she was in public school.

Good for her ! In this economy, it's very wise of her to create a stream of income for herself. I didn't see an image of her bag, but I hope you can post an image on myLot for us...I'd love to see her creations.
Who knows, maybe later this year she'll move on to doing craft shows and fairs, and perhaps even start consigning her creations to local gift shops in your area!
Congrats to her!!!

Wow! It's nice to hear that she can make bas on her own. I also want to learn how to but since I am busy with my studies, I don't have much time. But back then... and even now whenever I have some free time... I make bracelets and I have made a lot of them and decided to sell it online. It's a good thing that it sells well. Happy mylotting! I hope your daughter makes more bags and I hope to see those works of hers. Once again, Happy Mylotting!
