Rue Mcclanahan has passed on today, due to a stroke, at the age of 76. I really loved her. She always had an upbeat fiesty attitute! I really loved watching her on TV. We should all bow our heads down and say a prayer for her. Betty white is the only one left, and I see she will be on a show on TV land in June, ya gotta love the fact she hopefully can keep going.

Hiya irishmist, They are having a Series here "Golden Girls" with Spanish Actresses in it. They are all good actresses but I don´t think that they can compare it to the Series "Golden Girls" that I have been able to watch. I was only able to watch a few of them but I did enjoy them. They were all my favourites but perhaps Dorothy and Rue were my most favourites of all. I will miss Rue although I have never seen much of her in anything I have to admit. "The Golden Girls" the original show has not been shown here for ages. Since they have this other one running I have not seen it yet to be able to compare it´s quality. Really I don´t think it will be anything as good as the original I think that they were so good together and funny.

I think the new show Hot in Cleveland with Betty White is good. Kinda on the style of the Golden girls. Only the woman are like in their forties.

Hiya irishmist, Oh I just realized that this Series I am talking about they are only just starting to film it. They made out like it was already done so that will take a while to get seen here. I like Betty White too so that must be a very good thing to watch. We won´t get to see it here at least I doubt it very much. Well who knows they might just put it on sometime or another. Take care now.

This is definitely one of my favorite shows. It's sad to watch the show and know that three of the four Golden Girls are gone. :( But to me, every time we watch the show, quote it, and such, we help to keep their memories alive. Rest in Peace Rue, Bea, & Estelle. Thank you for being a friend.

This show is a keeper, and it will never die, my goodness they are still playing some of the old black & white shows, like Gunsmoke! I love this show, and lets not forget our beloved men from the Ponderso! And all the other shows that have with standed all that time.

Yep! I think I watch more older shows than I do the newer ones. The Golden Girls being on my top 3 list. They all did so well in their roles!

One of my top five sitcoms of all time. What a great bunch of gals and never failed to give me a chuckle when I needed one. So long, Rue. Thanks for sharing so much joy and laughter with us over the years. You will be missed.

Condolences to the family of Rue Mc Clanahan... So sad that sitcom icons had to go... Gary Coleman also passed away.
