After that they ask some money. Like lottery ticket money or shipping money.
What are these mails?
One of my friend had given away the money (deposit in a/c they referd). Nothing happened. He reported it. But all in vain.

So many things like this have been exposed in my country, and are being explosed in each second. It's foolish to trust an email or a SMS like that, especially when it let you to pay something first. Just take them nothing and delete them as soon as you see it!
Be careful everytime!

Think, before open that kind of stuff! They can be really dangerous (or you can be, if you trust to them)
Think logical - do you have been part of some lottery, games or something?
Even, you have been, how the heck they have your email?
It's much easier to understand It is a lie, if you don't play.
I receive that kind of junk emails almost everyday and these thieves are becoming more smarter - My last "price" was from "Microsoft" with amount about $10 000 000 , ya ten millions xD.
I have received "hopeless emails" from "women fugitive" mostly from Africa, who has milions of dollars left from her father, but I must pay for attorney, before that, so he "can" help us xD
These kind of mails make me laugh, but there are people, who has never faced with them, there are kids, who easily can give details of their parents credit cards, which is more than enough for most experienced criminals, who search victims. Beware and don't give personal details to anyone on the internet!

They are scams in which people are trying to get your personal information or worse. You should never open them. You should never reply to them. They are also used to put viruses on your computer. Delete them immediately.

Everyday I receive such emails in my Inbox, I really get tired now deleting them everytime, now I don't even open them but delete them once I saw something like "you are the winner". They think they can get money like this when someone will give their credit cards numbers or as such.

There are a lot of these messages going around. they trick you into sending them money or activating a virus. Be careful about this. Don't be scammed. I personally have received a few claiming that I inherited a huge fortune from some rich guy who doesn't have descendants. They were asking for personal information.
If you encounter these, don' entertain these. It's a fraud. report it as spam.
Your friend wouldn't get anything from what he did. even the email service provider can't help your friend.
You should be wary of this things. best of luck! :)
