Winning vs. Losing

Everyone wants to win but a person cannot win every single time. No matter how good someone is, they will eventually lose. There is always someone out there who is better than any someone else. It is important to win but it is also important to lose so that people can be humbled and so that they can learn from their losses and their mistakes, so that they will not do them again in the future. I just lost in chess, because I played poorly for some reason. I lost to someone who I usually beat. I think something is occupying my mind. Winning and losing is all about a mentality. If one gives up mentally then they have already lost the fight and similarly if one believes in themselves and tells themselves that they cannot lose they become almost invincible.

Sure we would all like to win every time. Nobody sets their sights on losing. Losing is seen as failure and disappointment. Sometimes depression can set in over a tremendous loss. If we could always win, i don't think we can appreciate victory when it comes our way. We have to know how to be gracious winners and losers. We will see both throughout our lives.

There are times when we are very happy when we win against someone however there are also times when we are happy when we lose against someone and believe that the lost is much worth the gain we might have got. So I believe that it is not everytime important to win but to like what you are doing in life.

That is a good saying." when you give up mentally, then it is a loss and if you have the will to gain back, then it can be counted as gain"........I love these words.Yes,gain and loss comes in eventually and we all want to gain a lot only. But loss is inevitable and we should be prepared for that too.

Winning is good feeling that you make your best shot. Losing is learning from mistakes and you need to focus and concentrate more. They have more confidence in saying that they can't lost on the fight. Chess is easy to play, fun but difficult to master. It depends on the position if you lose or win but you enjoy it every moment of your life.

Its a part of life, i mean sometimes we win sometimes we lose, its just a matter of acceptance.I usually lose to people i usually beat as well. Specially when im not in the mood or just like you something else is occupying my mind. Hahaha but whats important is that everytime we lose we tend to learn something and then apply it in our life to make us a better person. ;)

I think I know what's occupying your mind. Lol. Well anyway, losing can sometimes contribute to success, to winning. Loss teaches us what we did wrong and what we should do next time. Being humble is one of the ingredients in success.

I think some people can't accept if he/she lose due to high esteem. It's not an easy thing to accept the fact that you lose. It's like putting a black spot on one's clean record. But I think losing sometime can be a good thing as we can learn from it and correct our mistake. We don't have to repeat and make the same one again. It's also a lesson that someone is better than you at something and you need to improve yourself.

A simple game might teach us a great lesson. It is all about life, and learning. I don't always win, and I lost more than I won. So, great lessons learned over time. Life is about a journey, not about the destination isn't it?

Hi Eddy!.
Yeah you are right we can not win all the time.
We all have to face lose few time in our life.
We have to admit winning taste really good, at least that the reason why we love played game.
My parent always teach me winning or losing is not really important, the process is the important as long you try hard and do honestly what ever the result your already a winner.

You can't win unless you have some experience and experience comes from losing. Somebody once said "If you want to succeed quickly, double your rate of failure." Failure is required to move ahead in life. What we get by winning is sometimes as important as what we become after losing. Failure makes our character more strong.
You are definitely right. Winning and losing is all about a mentality. It depends on your state of mind. "if you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you can't."

for me winning or losing is not that necessary as long as you give all your best shot to that, you will find yourself winning.. you won't have any regrets because you did it with all your hearts even though you are not the winner you will realize that you try and this is a challenge so next time give more effort to win..
