Thought about Spending

I heard the phrase below from one of the financial seminar that I attended. " If you buy things you don't need, you'll soon end up selling the things that you need." I agree on this statement. I've seen a lot of already did these. They just keep on buying things that they want and not need. They got buried in debt and soon sell those things that they treasure and really need. I don't wanna end up like them. I want to learn manage my finances. How about you, do you agree on this statement?

I know someone Like that they tend to buy branded things eventhough they don't have enough money no more for their foods .. It's so annoying people like that , they rather not eat just to become rich in the eye of the others..

I also know some people who buys branded things just to impress others. Another wealth advise I got from my mentor, IF You can't pay it in CASH, you CAN'T afford it and You should not Buy it.

I agree very much. And I keep on practising this statement all the time. No matter how much you can earn and you have got, if you want to spend, it's much easier to waste than to make money. You can't predict what will happen to you next day, it's better to save than to spend.

I most certainly do agree. It is really easy to spend, but it is the consequences that we have to deal with in the long run. For the longest time, I was in debt up to my eyeballs but now that I have got my bills under control, my expenses are less than what I take in, which is a good thing. Before my finances got squared away, I was spending more than what was coming in, and there were times I didn't have enough money to pay my bills. it was bad, and it put me in a deep funk where I just couldn't function and I just didn't know what to do next. Now, that has all changed, and I am so happy about that, as I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel, and the only thing that really is owed on yet, is the car I bought for my daughter. Unfortunately, the car is in my name, but fortunately, she is paying for it monthly, which is a good thing. I do have to help her with it once in awhile, but mostly she handles it and that is a good thing. Her cell phone is also in my name, and she is paying that too. She has finally learned to take responsibility, as for the longest time, I would have to pay for everything and it hurt me in the end. She is 35 now, and finally grown up. She does owe me for the times I helped her, and she says she will pay me back, but only time will tell on that one. I am certainly not going to hold my breath, that is for sure. Anyway, good luck and happy mylotting.

For a certain time of the past, I usually bought many things I didn't use at all,it's do a little effect to the finance, but it often made me feel guilt to wast money. Now I have used to think for some time before buying things.

Oh yes, I'm sure a lot of us find ourselves in this situation. I particularly have my own motto similar to that when I go shopping. I think it's smart to buy things you know you really need and not just because you think it's cool. That's why I stand there for like 5 minutes going through my head asking myself this quesiton before buying something. Sad but during these hard economic times, we have to be a little cleaver. Sometimes it's sad that you realize your bad spending habits when it's a little too late. I think you end up selling what you treasure is because most likely that's what someone else might have a chance of buying from you, not what you bought things "you didn't need". Good luck to you though.

I don't agree on this. Most posessions only have value if you have kept them for a long time. Say you bought a clock, but you have another clock and after a few days, you have to sell the new clock you bought, it won't be that hard to re-sell it. I disagree, because whenever I purchase something, it stays with me for good. You need not worry about budgeting if you can generate a huge solid income every month of say, $7,000? I disagree with that statement.
