Anyone ever started writing novels that sounded really good when they came up with the plot and ideas; but then they got bored and lost interest? Well, I've done this many times, and every time I do, someone looks it over and says it is amazing and that I should keep it going. What's bad is that even with their good wishes and praises, I still don't have the interest to continue writing it, and then end up letting them down.
It can be very irritating.

I have started a few projects that I lost the spark for, or decided wasn't all that good after all... but the last time it happened was a very long time ago. I've finished the last four manuscripts I started writing.
Word of warning... if you aspire to be a published writer, then you need to know that writing the book is not the hard part. Getting published is.

I finished a novel this winter. It is being edited now. My problem now is getting motivated enough to begin a new project which will be a children's book idea from a short story I wrote. You have to be motivated to write to avoid the dreaded,"Writer's Block",which can happen at any time. Good Luck with your work!

Novels are very difficult to write and are not recommended for the novice writer unless the novice writer has an idea that is so essential to that person's being or so important that the person feels he will not function unless the story is told. Then that is when the writer should write a novel.
Many people will like a passage or two from the unpublished manuscript, but it is really the writer's responsibility to persevere. That is the key with novel writing. Perseverance and dedication to write a certain number of words each day thus becomes very important.

well I have a tendency to write something and suddenly stop. that sucks when that happen especially when you have writers block or somthing. Sometimes something else got in the way of your writing like school , job or family crisis and you never get back to it. This is what happened to me from persoanl experience.
