Should it be a felony to be looking for a better life for your family. And working hard being underpaid just so you and your family can survive and have a better future. That's a new law in the state of Arizona. What is your view?

I come to my view because I go by the facts. I would suggest you read the law before you criticize or comment on it. http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/sb1070h.pdf amendments: http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/sb1070s.pdf The Arizona law doesn't make it a felony. In fact, it pretty much mirrors the federal law that has already been on the books for years. The law in Arizona cannot be a felony because then it would supersede federal law and would then be unconstitutional. It is a civil violation just as the federal law is and has concurrency. The Arizona law also makes it a crime to enforce the law based on someone's race which the federal law does not. Now, what about Mexico's immigration laws? In Mexico it is a felony to be there illegally. So why don't you criticize Mexico's law before you criticize Arizona's?

It is a crime to come to the US without proper paperwork. There are procedures to make your family and you legal and therefore not breaking the law. Before 9/11 it was easier to come to US. Since 9/11, procedures have become more intense due to the fear of terrorists.
