Arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! i believe it is only here in the philippines where we are afraid of having our secrets let out in the public the government's secret that is they have effectively killed the information act by boycotting it. It is a shame that less than half of the needed house members even bothered to attend the ratification of the bill wow! WE HAVE 268 HOUSE MEMBERS AND ONLY 128 CAME? wow! where are these people anyway? busy doing shady business? the information act would've made transactions with the government more transparent making us a more efficient country because the red tape would be lessened and graft and corruption as well. tsk how blatantly these people advertise their greed is appalling they should be ashamed of themselves

it is truly disgusting to see that politicians in the Philippines became fearless and shameless. well why not the president herself is fearless and shameless. we have a lot of politician but only a few are doing their jobs as what they call serving the people. is this what serving the people is all about then what they are showing is not a good example. where are those people anyway? they are out there spending the people's money. doing good for themselves.

They know better than us when it comes to this matter. They may think that FOI will not benefit everyone and should not be given much attention. Good job for the 14th congress, i salute you for the changes you've made in our nation.

I hear you chipesterkhan. I was really disappointed with the House of Congress yesterday, not that I have ever thought them to be honorable people in the first place. It was not Nograles' shining moment. It only goes to show that he did not deserve to be the House Speaker in the first place. He could not even compel attendance of congressmen! It took fourteen years for this law to be enacted, and now it will go back to first base. What kind of government do we have that they have to make it difficult for its people to secure information? I am glad that Nograles did not win. He is definitely a LOSER!

what we have is a government full of inept people fools hanging on to their positions as if it were gold, because to them that is the only way for them to make a living to cheat and steal they are so afraid that this bill is passed because all their shady deals would be out in the open you are right... i am glad he did not win too a leader who can not inspirepeople to follow is not worth the title

It's really sad to hear such news. Those news that makes you less proud of yourself as a Filipino. To think that they are law makers but then they don't want to be embraced by law due to selfish reasons.
